It was my first mission and I was buzzing. Even if it was just killing a bunch of gorals it was a mission. I gathered more than enough ammo and more bulletproof armour. We boarded a helicopter and reached our landing spot. Noah was in charge of the team but it was hard to hear his voice while he fired the minigun attached to the side. I was the only girl on this team and the youngest so lets just say older guys liked me thinking I was older than I thought even if I was technically 21 but still in the of a 17 year old. "Stomp through these C'MON!" Noah screamed ushering us the exit the aeroplane. We jumped out causing a loud bang as we landed. We were shooting like crazy but hitting our target every time causing the zombie like creatures to fall and die.
Before we knew it the land was free of gorals. "Hiro, Jesse, Cole stay with me. All of you go back to the landing spot and we'll be back after we help some settlers and citizens." he demanded and the rest of the group left. On the way to the major settlement we were ambushed by a bunch of Mutants and Muts. The mutants had learned how to use guns and bombs so we were screwed. We were cornered in an old house and bullets flew past us every second. "Service help 202!" Noah was screaming into a ear piece while the others were cowering. I pushed all of my weapons to the side and ran out. "Hiro? WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING?!"
I sneeked behind a group and planted a bomb on silent so it'll take them by surprise. I ran past them just in time to avoid the explosion. Muts ran up to me growling but with a quick kick will put them down then the big guy. Running up to the top level multiple mutants were there. I was on the floor just underneath the top and there was too many to handle, without thinking I threw a pulse grenade in there. I forgot that they are really dangerous in enclosed spaces. It was to late to run away since it was only three beeps away from exploding. I closed my eyes and stood still.
Beep Beep Beep
I felt the rush of electricity of heat in front of me and I was waiting for the electricity to sting me. I felt my body get hit by something and multiple flat surfaces hit me over and over again until my head hit something hard. I didn't open my eyes. I focused on my breathing In and out, In and out. I slowly opened my eyes expecting to see my parents again. Noah was in front of me with the most angered face on the world. "Rule 304 in the rulebook. Never leave your teammates in a suicide mission," He panted heavily and I looked at the floor "lets get this over with," I said pushing him out the way. I made my way to the top floor and the boss was injured sitting on the floor. He struck me with an odd gun but he only caught my hair. I shot two bullets in his head and took the gun for examination back at the ship.
Cole set a smoke bomb off singling a helicopter to pick us up. "Noah?" I looked at him but he was lost in thought "Thanks for saving me." I whispered. He was silent but looked at me smiling "It's okay. I can't let a solider die in my arms," he whispered back. Noah and me were so close. His hand cupped over mine but I didn't pull away, well me and Danse weren't dating he didn't even ask me to be his girlfriend. Is this okay?
