InuYasha x Kagome

Chapter 3

"I'm home!"
That's Kagome! Great, now we can head out!
InuYasha was downstairs in the living room playing with Buyo.
"Hey mom! I think I did good on my test today! I worked really hard on it and-" Kagome cut herself off.
"INUYASHA!"
Kagome wanted to scream "sit", but if she did then he would break the floor with all that force.
"Now that you're here, let's go."
"Now way! I just got her yesterday night and you already miss me! You can go back now because I'm staying for at least another day!" Kagome's shouted.
"Me, missing you! No way! It was the others and we are not holding off for you!" InuYasha exclaimed with as much anger in his voice as Kagome.
"Than you can go without me! Good luck though since I'm the only one who can sense the sacred jewel shard!"
"Well then I'll get Kikyo! She's way more reliable than you are and she's cuter!" InuYasha said, then he noticed what he said.
Kagome's eyes started to brim with tears.
"Wait, Kagome, I didn't mean it like that!"
"THAN WHAT DID YOU MEAN! You are so stupid! I hate you and your guts! I can't even escape you in my own time!" Kagome turned around and stomped upstairs.
"Kagome!"
Sota, the mom, and Kagome's grandfather looked at InuYasha.
"I should- I should go now." InuYasha said with defeat. He got up and went outside.
What did I just say? What did Kagome just say? Why did that hurt so much when she said that she hated me and my guts? I really screwed things up.
InuYasha walked around to the side of the house that had Kagome's window. He hoped up so he was sitting on the window. He gazed in as he saw Kagome with her head down on her pillow. His eyes widened as he noticed something: she was shaking.
Oh no, what did I do?
InuYasha quickly got back to the ground as he saw Kagome shift positions.
Should I stay or should I go? I don't know what to do! Either way, I can't bother Kagome now. I just flat out said that I liked Kikoyo better than her. I'll go back, but she has a good reason to hate me now...

-Kagome's POV-
"Inu-InuYasha..." Kagome started to whimper to herself.
"I knew that you liked Kikyo, but it just hurts so much when I'm told that. Maybe I should just stay here forever."
No! I can't!
Kagome just remembered about her friends on the other side.
It's not fair to them that I
leave them alone because of InuYasha. I'll go there- but I won't talk to InuYasha, I'll only be with them. I won't associate with the likes of him!

It was the next day over, and it was 9 in the morning.
"Bye mom! I'll see you in a few days!"
"Are you sure sweetie?" Her mom asked with concern. I know you and InuYasha got in a fight, will you be okay?"
Kagome gave her a confident smile. "Don't worry I don't plan on talking to him. Anyways, tell Sota and grandpa I said bye!"
Kagome rushed to Bone-Eaters well and hopped down it, loaded with everyone's favorite snacks. That was everyone expect for InuYasha's.
Kagome soon arrived at Kaede's village to see everyone just out and about.
"Hey everyone! I'm back!"
"Kagome!" They all shouted out. InuYasha wasn't near.
"I brought you guys some treats!"
"Yum! You're the best Kagome!" Shippo said as he gave her a thumbs up.
"Yep! That's me! Kagome! How about we eat by the well, it's nice and peaceful!"
"Good idea! Should we see if InuYasha wants to join?" Miroku exclaimed.
Kagome's face got serious and she started to look angry. "No need, I'm pretty sure that half-demon can manage on his own." Kagome said through gritted teeth.
"Half-demon!" InuYasha whispered to himself. He was watching them from a near by tree. This hurt him greatly since he hated anyone calling him that, especially Kagome.
