InuYasha x Kagome

Chapter 10

InuYasha studied her features closer. Her long peachy legs, smooth skin, and her plump, pink lips. "Kagome, you don't have to keep apologizing. I was involved in the fight to and I've also hurt you before, so please go easy on yourself."

-Kagome's POV-
W-what?
Kagome's face started to flush. "That's not what I was going to..."
Her words trailed off and her gaze was connected with the dirt.
InuYasha walked closer and closer, until there was only inches separating them. He lifted her head up to face him and gave her a toothy smile. "Looks like someone is awfully shy tonight! And just earlier you had me by this tree and slapped me!"
"Hey!"
InuYasha chuckled.
Okay maybe he's right, I was over confident I don't have a clue what I was doing then!
"So what was it that you wanted to tell me?"
Kagome snapped back to reality.
"Ah! Yes I did have something to tell you." Her confidence was slowly coming back and she now had better posture once again. "I've been meaning to tell you this for awhile but, InuYasha, I-"
Kagome's face turned red again.
Go on Kagome! Say it!
InuYasha was staring at her with curiosity.
"I LOVE YOU INUYASHA!"
InuYasha stumbled back before tripping on a root and proceeding to fall down.
This is so embarrassing!

-InuYasha's POV-
She likes me?????
My face was red but I managed to pick himself back up to my feet.
Well if I'm going to confess to her, now is as good as time as any.
InuYasha let out a sigh and furrowed his eye brows for a moment.
Kagome's face was still bright red and she turned around to run off, but InuYasha caught her wrist.
"Kagome."
Kagome's heart fluttered at his enchanting voice. It was deep and husky like always, but he seemed to have another tone, but she couldn't find out what it was.
"Kagome." InuYasha repeated her name.
"I love you too."
Kagome turned around, tears brimming her eyes and she wore a big smile on her face. "Oh InuYasha!"
She wrapped him around in a bear hug and he returned it to her.
I thought that it would be impossible to find love. No one likes half-demons, so life was rough for me. Demons and humans left me, until I met Kagome. Sure Kikyo was there but she wanted me to be human with her, Kagome accepted me the way I was.
"You don't know how much I care for you." InuYasha whispered.
Kagome just squeezed tighter in response.
The two lovers stood there with the wind blowing at them and the sun was barely viable now casting a orange glow in the horizon. The night sky blossomed with stars, and no clouds covered up the night sky. It would be a full moon soon, and the calming light of the moon sent owls and other creatures out and about. Crickets chirped happily as they bounced around and moths fluttered in the blue sky. Everything was at peace. Nothing could go wrong at all, or at least, that's what I thought.
