InuYasha x Kagome

Chapter 9

-Kagome's POV-
"Well, just spit it out already." InuYasha declared.
Kaede glared at him. "As I was saying, The Fire Song parade is a festival held to celebrate the start of spring. With the heat strong in summer, the parade is known as 'the beginning of warmth' to break winters rein."
Kagome made an 'O' shape with her mouth.
"That seems like it would be fun!" Kagome gave a glance at InuYasha. A breeze swept up his long, silver hair and the wind seemed to be playing with it.
I need to stop getting into unnecessary fights with InuYasha. It's seriously so childish!
Kagome's thoughts were cut off when she saw a waving hand flicking back and forward across her face.
Her eyes quickly widened. She was staring at InuYasha and she saw him. He slowly put his hand back down to his side. "Looks like you were charmed by my beauty!"
Kagome couldn't help herself, laughs came exploding out of her.
"Hey! Don't laugh!" InuYasha whined.
"Ahahaha! InuYasha your so cute!"
"I'm not cute! I'm sexy, even you can't deny it!"
Once again, Kagome started to laugh.
"Oi! Calm down would ya?"
Kagome gave him a big grin. "I'll try!" Right after that little conversation she turned back to Kaede, who just watched from the sidelines. "How much longer till the parade?"
"The parade will start tomorrow at midday, we still need to prepare some more. Is yee excited?"
"You bet I am! Do you need any help?" Kagome questioned.
Kaede simply shook her head. "We've got it covered. Run along now, go and eat dinner."
"Hey InuYasha!" Kagome called.
His ears twitched as he then turned over to Kagome to meet her gaze. "Hm? What is it?"
Kagome shifted her gaze to the ground. "About earlier, I'm really sorry. I shouldn't have acted like that." InuYasha smiled warmly at her. "Let's go eat, we need to be filled up for the parade tomorrow!"
Kagome agreed with him as she then proceeded to follow him into Kaede's hut.

-InuYasha's POV-
We walked into Kaede's hut to eat, which I found awkward. I needed to get myself a house, better yet build one. I knew a nice secluded area in the woods. It's only a 17 minute walk away from the village.
Maybe Kagome could live with me.
I blushed at the thought and I dismissed it for now. Kaede came with food; she held two bowls of butternut soup garnished with basil leaves floating on top.
"Thank you!" Kagome chirped. InuYasha gave his 'thanks' before he slurped down his soup.
Soon enough, they finished eating, and Kagome whispered something in his ear. "I'm heading to the tree now."
He watched her as she got up. She smirked at him while leaving. He was going to head out there, but first he needed to tell the others. InuYasha didn't want Sango, Miroku, Shippo, or even Kirara to interrupt something.

Okay, now that they know that I'm going out with Kagome, they won't follow me! Right?
InuYasha dashed through the woods, his mind trying to think of all the possibilities that could occur.
Then he saw her, standing right at the tree. She wore a light brown skirt and a baby blue blouse. Kagome's brown flip flops just blended in with the dirt, and her skirt was blown up by a gentle wind.
Kagome turned her head to see him and smiled before completely turning around. "I'm glad you came InuYasha, once again, I'm sorry for earlier."
