InuYasha x Kagome

Chapter 7

-Kagome's POV-
InuYasha. You really do care about me... don't you? I don't know what came over me, but I found myself giving InuYasha a peck on the lips. He sat there stunned, and I turned away out of embarrassment.
"Kagome..." He started.
Oh no! What will he say! I just messed up big time.
"I've been meaning to tell you something for awhile now..."
Kagome's eyes widened.
InuYasha?
Just as InuYasha opened his mouth to speak, Kagome's door opened. It was her mom.
"Dinner's ready you two."
InuYasha's bangs covered his face, so I could see his eyes. He suddenly got up and paused. "Let's go."
Kagome gazed at him.
I wonder what he had to say. He seemed so serious... isn't this just the perfect timing?
"Kagome?"
"Ah."
I dozed off. My face probably looked weird.
"Let's go and eat now." InuYasha looked at Kagome, his eyes looked lonely but he continued to move out of the room.
"I'm coming." Kagome managed to get up on her own, but then she stumbled and started to fall. She braced herself for the ground, it never came though. Instead she ended up in InuYasha's arms. He had caught her. InuYasha smiled. "Gee Kagome! You sure are a clutz!"
Kagome blushed a bit. "Sorry..."
"Don't be! You couldn't help yourself, now I'm starving! Come on!"
This time InuYasha helped Kagome down to the table.
InuYasha, I wish I could tell you somehow. I like you- no, I love you. But I don't know if your heart still belongs to Kikyo or not.

The day has passed and it was now 12:16 in the after noon. The sun's rays beamed down on InuYasha and Kagome as they started towards the well. "Bye mom, bye Sota! I'll miss you gramps!" As Kagome waves off her family, InuYasha stood there making sure Kagome wouldn't fall down. She had a wrap around her ankle keeping her ankle some what still. It was covered up with her high socks.
"Come on, the others are waiting!"
Kagome turned back to InuYasha, then faced her family again. "Alright," She said before continuing talking to them. "See you soon!"
Kagome smiled before turning back around to go through the well.
"Ready InuYasha?"
InuYasha nodded as they then proceeded to jump in the well.

-InuYasha's POV-
Kagome and I had finally made it back to the Feudal Era. I helped haul her up and out of the well since she can't really do it on her own.
"Where are the others?"
I looked around. They usually would be waiting by the well for us.
"I guess we took to long. They're most likely in Kaede's hut."
"Then let's go there! Because of me, we missed out on a lot! We need to catch up on the game!" Kagome cheered.
I smiled. Kagome's always tried to be so cheery, even when she's the reason we are behind at points. I let out a laugh.
"What's so funny?" Kagome furrowed her eyebrows and put her hands on her hips.
She was so cute.
"Oh nothing~." Another laugh slipped through my lips.
"InuYasha! Does someone with white hair need to S-I-T?"
InuYasha flinched away. "No I think I'm good!"
Kagome gave me an angry sigh as she turned away.
"Aw come on! You just got back and you're already pouting!"
"SIT!"
CRASH!
"What the heck Kagome!"
Kagome bent down to me and patted my head. "Good boy~!"
InuYasha groaned.
"Now let's go and find the others." After Kagome said that, she skipped away to the village.
"Wait up!"
