InuYasha x Kagome

Chapter 8

Kagome's POV
I happily skipped to the village, ignoring my foot as it started to burn a bit.
Okay, maybe this isn't a good idea. Last time I went off by myself I got swept away.
Kagome slowed down to a brisk walk as she took in the scenery.
"Ahh, it's such a beautiful day!"
"KAGOME!"
"Huh?"
All of a sudden, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and Kirara came out and tackled Kagome in a bear hug.
"We missed you so much!" Shippo sniffed.
"How long was I gone for?" A very confused Kagome questioned.
"Five days!" Shippo said.
"FIVE DAYS?!"
Kagome's squeal could have been heard throughout the entire forest.
Then InuYasha hopped down a tree. "There go are wench. I found you because your loud voice."
A dark aura was suddenly emitted from Kagome. "InuYasha..."
The forest grew deathly silent.
"Ehh!" InuYasha started to step back, knowing what was coming his way.
Kagome walked closer and closer to him, with him walking backwards. This went on for a bit until he bumped into a tree.
"Ka-Kagome?" InuYasha braced himself for the 'sit' but it never came. Instead, he got something else.
SMACK!
Kagome just slapped InuYasha across the face, and he stayed there stunned. Kagome inched closer until there was no more space between them, her hot breath fanning on InuYasha's cheek. Then she spoke, loud enough so only he could here her. "InuYasha... I feel bad for going back on my word so soon, but you never learn a thing when I S-I-T you, understand?"
InuYasha nodded.
"Oh, and another thing." She paused, her time of voice becoming more seductive. "Meet me here at sun down.
Then Kagome whipped around and went back to the others, who already were heading back to the village."

InuYasha's POV
InuYasha watched Kagome run off after their friends, leaving him behind.
Meet you here at sun down? I think I can do that.
InuYasha brought his hand to his cheek.
You could have hit me much harder, but you held back. You didn't even leave a mark...
InuYasha dismissed this thoughts from his head. "What could you be planning, Kagome?"
I should head back to the village with them now, InuYasha thought as he gazed up and the sky.
I soon approached the village and the sun was lowering ever so slowly. Everyone was bustling about, the kids playing with other kids and adults preparing a feast of some sort. "What's all this about?" InuYasha thought out loud.
"InuYasha!"
He flicked his attention to the person that called his name. It was Lady Kaede.
InuYasha quickly ran down to the village to be at her side. "What's up old hag?"
"Must yee call me that"
InuYasha rolled his eyes at her as he looked around impatiently. "Why'd you call me here anyways?" Sass was flowing throughout his voice.
Kaede ignored that. "We are preparing for a celebration, the Fire Song parade."
His eyes widened. How could InuYasha forget? "You still have that?"
"Indeed we do child."
InuYasha scoffed.
"What's the Fire Song parade?"
Kagome walked over, it seemed that she listened in on the conversation.
"Oh! Kagome welcome back!"
Kagome gave her a warm smile.
"So..."
"Ah! That's right!" Kaede cleared her voice. "The Fire Song parade is..."
