The cold turned Finn's face a light pink, and your face matched it.
"So where are we going?" Finn asks.
"To a secret spot at the end of the street," you say. A car passed and you noticed the girl in the front seat. Her face became shocked when she noticed it was you and Finn Wolfhard. You started yelling something at her mom that you couldn't hear.
You laughed at the sight. Finn grabbed your hand and started running. "What are you doing?" you ask.
"Running, duh," he says. After 7 houses, you stop him. "What?" He asks.
"This is Allison's house," you say, pointing to her house, "she's probably still sleeping, because it's only 7, but you'll meet her later."
"Cool," he says. You keep walking. You pass another 3 houses when you come to a big area of huge trees. You pull Finn through the trees, ducking under branches. Then, you come to a small opening.
"It's small, I know, but it's my safe place," you say.
"I like it. It's probably nicer during the summer though," he says, rubbing his hands together for heat.
"Yeah. And, if you time it right, you can meet some deer. I've befriended a few," you say.
