"Secretary Ross has a congressional Medal of Honor which is one more than you have." Steve reads the Accords as two of the team's members argue.
"So, let's say we agree to this thing. How long is it going to be before the LoJack us like a bunch of common criminals?" Tony sits in a chair, reclined with a hand over his eyes.
"117 countries want to sign this. 117, Sam, and you're just like, 'No, that's cool. We got it.'" Rhodey mimicks Sam.
"How long are you going to play both sides?" Sam retaliates.
"I have an equation." Vision speaks.
"Oh, this will clear it up."
"In the eight years since Mr. Stark announced himself as Iron Man the number of known enhanced persons has grown exponentially. During the same period the number of potentially world-ending events has risen at a commensurate rate." Vision explains.
"Are you saying its our fault?" Steve asks looking up from the Accords.
"I'm saying there may be a causality. Our very strength invites challenge. Challenge incites conflict. And conflict breeds catastrophe. Oversight... oversight is not an idea that can be dismissed out of hand." Vision says.
"Wait... why isn't y/n here? I wanna know what she has to say." Sam says, trying to find a supporter of his side.
"My daughter is going to a friend's house so that way she can get to school tomorrow. Because my daughter's education is more important than her decision on this." Tony explains.
"Friends house my ass. She's going to her boyfriend's place."
"Excuse me?" Tony says looking at Nat.
"Seriously? How have you not figured that out? She begged you to send her to Midtown, a school of science and technology yet you know for a fact she wants to go into history. She didn't go there for education, she went for a boy." Nat says.

"Hey y/n!"
"Hey Aunt May! Thank you so much for letting me stay here." You say as you walk into the apartment.
"Its no problem dear. You're always welcome here." She smiles. "Huh, Peter is in his room and were eating at that Thai place you both love so much for dinner, then you two have the living room to yourselves for your movie night."
"Thanks May. Hi Ben."
"Hi y/n." You walk straight to Peter's room and knock on his door. You here shuffling and a thud which worries you.
You quickly open the door to see Peter on his back, laying on the ground. "Peter? Are you okay?"
"Yea. I'm good." He groans sitting up and rubbing his back. "I thought you weren't coming till later?"
"Pretty sure we agreed on 3 and its 4. I'm not early." You laugh leaving your bags by his desk and sitting on his bed.
"Well then why are you late Miss-I'm-always-on-time?" He questions laying the bed, placing his head in your lap.
You begin to run your fingers through his hair, one of your favorite pass times. "I had a meeting with Mr. Stark and the Avengers. There's this thing that's going to put them under the control of a panel of United Nations representatives that will only let them help if it's extremely necessary. They wanted my opinion."
"But why your opinion? Shouldn't they consult a lawyer or something."
"Yes, but I've been around them for so long that it'll affect me too." You tell him.
"So, what do you think? Should they sign it?" He asks sitting up and looking at you.
"God no Pete! If they sign it, they can't do the one thing they were created to do. The Avengers was put together to make the world a safer place, and they've done that! Yes, there were casualties, but they shouldn't be held at fault for the damages caused by who they were against!" You exclaim standing from the bed and pacing.
"So, what are you gonna do?"
"I don't know Pete. But what I do know is that we're getting Thai for dinner and then we have the whole night to ourselves to watch movies and cuddle and be the adorable couple that we are." You say as you crawl from the end of the bed, over to your boyfriend, kissing him once you finished.
"We are a pretty cute couple." He laughs.
"Yes, you are, now come on. We're hungry." Aunt May says, making her way towards the front door with Uncle Ben.
You both stand, your hands intertwining and following his aunt and uncle through the apartment and out the main door.
