Fox Mulder walked out of the hospital with Dana Scully, his partner, leaning on his shoulder. She was still frail and extremely weak, but was sick and tired of being in the hospital for almost a month and wanted desperately to go home. However, she knew it wouldn't be safe for her to stay home alone, so Mulder invited to stay with her until she became better and Scully agreed.

"Mulder, thank you so much for being there for me. I wouldn't have survived without you, Mulder," Scully said thankfully, her eyes drifting to Mulder's.

"Of course, Scully. You are my best friend. You've saved my life countless times, and I definitely wouldn't be here if I hadn't met you. You look up to the lord, and I look up to you," Mulder replied, smiling.

Scully laughed playfully, then stopped in her tracks.

"Mulder, where's my car? I thought I parked it in this spot." Scully frowned, looking around.

"Are you sure, Scully? You might be remembering things wrong, sweetheart. I don't blame you, though. I mean, you just went through hell," Mulder said, holding Scully's limp hand.

"I don't know, Mulder" - Scully replied, and before she could finish talking, her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she fell onto the blacktop.

"Dana, oh my God. Are you okay? Can you hear me?" Mulder said worriedly, and quickly dropped onto the blacktop as well.

Scully moaned, and tried to grab Mulder's hand. However, whenever she tried, her hand fell to her chest. Mulder grabbed her hand, and it felt extremely cold.

"Dana, honey" Mulder whispered, and then she quickly sat up.

Scully sobbed, her whole body shaking. "I thought this was over. I prayed, Mulder. I prayed that it was over."

"It's going to be okay, Dana, we'll get you back into the hospital, they'll help you recover." Mulder said, holding back tears. He didn't want her to go through anymore torture.

"No, no, no, I don't want to go back. Mulder, you don't understand, I can't go back. They'll hurt me. They'll kill me. I c-can't.." Scully sobbed frantically, her hands cupped close to her eyes.

"Dana, listen to me. You are going to be okay, I know you will. Maybe you have PTSD, maybe it's just nothing," Mulder laughed nervously, trying to not panic.

"Mulder... I know where the car is. I know where it is, Mulder!" Scully laughed, still crying, but not as hard.

"I don't know what happened, but I can remember everything! Even what I was thinking when I wasn't conscious. God, I don't want to remember that, please, God," Scully stopped crying, her eyes dry.

"I knew you'd be okay, Scully. I knew it. Now, let's find your car, and drive!" Mulder smiled, helping Scully stand up.

Afterwords, they arrived at Scully's place and snuggled up on the couch together, and eventually drifted off to sleep.
