New Beginnings

Chapter 1

That night there was something different in the air. They could feel in the air and it felt like something was going to change. Chris was trying to hide it while he was with her. Brittany knew that Chris was holding back from her. She did not want to start another fight with him. She wanted to tell him but since he was with someone else. She had to tell him but what she did not know something was going to change. Chris went into a darkened alley and he softly pulled her with him.

"Brittany I need to tell you something. I just do not know how to say it" Chris said as he was nervous.

"Yes, Chris. I knew something was different about tonight. You have been acting differently." Brittany said as she looks around.

Chris looked up to make sure there was nobody around. Brittany had to get ready in case he was going to tell her the bad news. She knew that Chris had someone else, but recently Chris had been wondering the street at night without her. She saw that Chris was checking for cameras or anything that other people could see.

"You know that I am with her. The truth is she is the one that saves me from what could destroy. She was not supposed to stay. That night I saw you she was not actually supposed to be there. I feel something for you." He said after a moment of silence.

"Chris, I knew there was something between us. I just want to make sure we do not rush this. I want to make sure that it can work without any problems." Brittany said as trying not to lose it.

Chris was lending against the wall when he pushed off. Brittany thought he was going to leave but instead he looks into her eyes. She did not know what to do next so she just stood there. He was reaching out for her hand she back up. This made Chris think he did something wrong. He went back to the wall. Brittany walked to look around and Chris lowers his head.

"I guess I should know this was going to happen. I guess it is nothing I could do to make this different. I understand if you want to leave." Chris said as he just looks at the ground.

She turned back towards him and walked back. Chris looked back up to see her with her hand reaching out towards him. Chris pushed off the wall and took her hand. He felt her cold hands for the first time.

Chris was going to say something, but Brittany said," Shut up and dance with me."

Chris was like he was not expecting that. He just walked with her. He was hoping this was a sign something just was about to happen. For the first time, he noticed there was an empty lot and it was another full moon night.

"I was looking to make sure there were no signs of people or anything that could see us. I know you are trying to be careful. Now let's dance before it gets too late." Brittany said.

"I thought you were leaving but you want to make sure we were going to be okay. I just notice how it is full moon night. It is like the moon is our spotlight and we are dancing under the stars. It is a beautiful night. Actually, it is now more beautiful." Chris said as he took her hand and pulled her closer.

"Why is it more beautiful now?" She asked as she got closer to him.

"It is because I got you here with me," Chris said back to her as he felt her close to him

Brittany smiled at him and just put her hand on his shoulder. Chris pulled her close to him as he held her. That moment he felt the time was standing still. He knew it was going to morning soon by the way it felt he did not want it to be. Brittany saw this and just pretends that she did not.

"Chris I want to tell you something." She said in a whisper.

"Yes, Brittany?" Chris said as he held her.
