Chapter 40

That night there was a storm brewing. There was something that is going to change the world for one person, and the ripple effects were going to be felt. It was what Lisa had to tell Brittany.

"Okay Brittany, I guess we need to tell the guys. That would only fair." Lisa said

"Yeah, I think I am going to need to hold Chris down after this," Chris said

"Yeah, we might need to hold both of them down. This is going to ripple effect." Lisa said

"Well, we have found out something about Matthew. He is cheating on Victoria. She has no idea. I figure she thinks he is going out working or about to get her a ring. He has been spotted couple times with this other girl." Lisa said

Chris was about to jump when Brittany took his hand. She knew he would not move if she was holding him. They could see the rage inside of him. Steve just was about exploding.

"This is what we afraid of happening," Brittany said

About that time Chris's cell phone went off. It was Victoria. Chris knew this was going too hard if she did not know already.

"Hey Victoria, what is the reason you are calling me?" Chris said trying not sound pissed.

"Matthew has come home, and it seems like he has been acting differently," Victoria said

"We will look for him. We will check the normal spots. Call us if you find him." Chris said

"Thanks, Chris. I will owe you one for this." Victoria said

As he hangs up the phone, they could see that this was going to be interesting. Chris just hopes that he could find him before she found out. Brittany put her arms around Chris to calm him down. Lisa and Steve got up. She was walking with him when they heard Chris.

"Oh no, what was that sound?" Lisa asked

"Chris is our room grabbing the gun. He is not playing anymore. Matthew has screwed up this time." Brittany said

Chris came out with two handguns. They looked at him because they knew this time there was no stopping him. He has seen enough times where she has been hurting. Chris was not going to let Matthew hurt her again. Brittany saw that Chris was not even going to be able to be talked out of it now.

"Actually this one is not even loaded. I am just taking it as a warning." Chris said as he points to the gun in his right hand.

"Baby, think about this. You are going to do something stupid. Please think about it before you do something you regret." Brittany said

He turned around and realized that she was right. He went to put them up. It was the first time that Brittany was able to stop him before he did something.

"This is a man to man talk. I think that I might overreact just now. "Chris said

Chris left, and Brittany looks for her phone. She needs to warn Victoria about Chris. Lisa handed her the phone. Brittany calls Victoria, but she does not answer.

Little later Chris finds Matthew and Victoria was not there with him. Chris confronts Matthew.

"What the hell are you thinking? You are cheating on Victoria. What the hell are you honestly thinking?" Chris yelled

"No, I am not. Who told you that?" Matthew said

"Lisa told Brittany, and they told me," Chris yells at him

There is a mysterious female that comes towards them. She takes Matthew's hand. Chris sees them, and he has to control himself. Matthew sees what is going on and he puts the clues together. At that moment Victoria walks up and Chris back up. He knew what was coming and he did not want to in the area when she did.
