Chapter 26

The next morning, Chris was trying to slip out but Brittany would not let him leave.

"Baby please stays. I was sleeping good." Brittany said

"Okay, breakfast can wait. I know you are not done with me." Chris said as he put his arm around her

"Baby, I want you to stay here because we have not cuddle like this in awhile." Brittany said

Chris lends over to kiss her and she came up. Chris decides what he was going to do could wait. She needed him right there. She moved off of him and motion for him to go. She wanted to get dress. She had something to show Chris. Chris went downstairs to create breakfast and turn on the coffee pot. He heard Brittany moving in the room but he figure that Brittany was getting dress. He decides to see if she was in the bathroom. She was so he went back downstairs. The coffee was ready and he was making the two cups. He heard the bathroom open and then heard something. Chris looked up and saw Brittany was coming down the stairs. She was wearing a black dress with new pair of cowboy boots. Chris just about fall over as he watched her. She looked like angel coming down those stairs. She started to turn red because she thought it was cute.

"Oh I take it you like this." Brittany said

"Oh goodness, just when I thought you could not get any more beautiful. Here you go and steal my heart again. Baby girl you look like so beautiful right now." Chris said

"Stop it. You are going to make red again. You are too sweet. Baby, do you really it?" Brittany said

Chris grabbed her and kissed her. She was smiling. Then she just started to laugh.

"Okay, what is so funny baby girl?" Chris said

"Your reactions just now. I brought this dress one time and never wore it. I could never be like this with that you know what. This makes me feel free." Brittany said

Chris put the breakfast on the table with her coffee. Chris pointed up. Brittany looked like she was confused. Chris picked her up and kissed her. He put her down and she could not believe that Chris just did that.

"Baby, You are caught me off guard. I think this is your way that you love me." Brittany said

They ate breakfast and then decide to walk around the area of the cabin. Chris goes upstairs and grabs his shotgun. Brittany packed the bag of first aid kit and supplies. Chris just grabs extra ammo just in case.

Chris went to see if there were any dead animals left and get wood for the pile. She followed him. She could not believe she was actually doing this. Chris would look back to make sure she was with him. He would slow down if she needs him to so she could catch up. As the daylight fades he decides to turn back. She put the bag on him and they held hands on the way back. He heard something and she took the bags. He got the gun ready in case it was bear or something. It was just little critter. As the sun was going down Chris opened the door. She went to put the bag upstairs and Chris went to the side porch. He saw something and he pop one off. Brittany came down to see what happen.

"It was warning shot. There were little ones coming towards us. I hopefully scared them off. Now lets get ready for the night. I will make chili and you can changed if you want to. Go clean up so we can eat soon." Chris said

Brittany went to clean up and get her boots off. She came down and hear him humming. She smiles because it was one of her songs. She sat on the top step listening. She did not want to know she could hear him. She was quiet long enough until he started to sing.

"Baby, you know that is one of my favorite songs. I heard one night after we met. It made me think of you and it helped when I am missing you. I bet you donot know what it is." Chris said with smirk
