I thought of this when I almost started sobbing in class... Life is funny isn't it? *cries* Real life school au!

Trigger Warnings- emotional breakdown, yelling, swearing, and lots of anger. It gets fluffy I swear.
NO ONE'S P.O.VIt was a particularly groggy monday in class, all of the students drudged their way to their history class. Logan and Patton were first to arrive, as always, Roman wasn't too far behind. But as time ticked on, Roman was worried about his boyfriend, Virgil Black, not showing up; he hasn't answered the theatre kid's messages the night before. He was getting slightly worried.
His worry didn't go away when his boyfriend walked in, though. He looked as if he got zero sleep, shoulders hunched over, and just looked terrible. He plopped himself next to Roman, who immediately wanted to ask questions, but before he could their teacher started the lesson.
Roman couldn't pay attention, his gaze was glued to Virgil, who was currently trying to sleep. And failing. He kept wanting yo say something, much like the other couple who kept shooting worried glances at the pair, but this teacher was strict. And she was the meanest thing, she couldn't teach well, and she always exploded on the students. Everyone hated her so much.
Eventually, Ms.Nelson finished explaining the task they were gonna fo for the day, and Virgil looked as if he were waking up; even though he never slept in the first place. Said student rose his hand, Roman eyeing his every move out of the corner of his eyes.
"Ms.Nelson? When we finish with the textbook, do we go straight to the worksheet?" he asked quietly.
Ms.Nelson rolls her eyes, not seeing Virgil's eyes go red.
"This is why we pay attention instead of dozing off," she patronized.
Roman watched as his boyfriend's hands clenched, eyes lit up in rage and as he slowly rose to stand at his desk.
"Babe, no, what are you doing? Sit down." he whispered desperately. The other didn't even hive him a glance.
"Do you ever stop for one moment to consider that maybe the 'bad' students who don't pay attention have something going on? Like, maybe, their parents don't care about them, or maybe they're being bullied, or they are figuring themselves out, or they have anxiety or depression, or they're afraid to go home because they're being abused, or heaven forbid they're worried about their future because this shitty school doesn't teach SHIT about the real world!"
He was yelling by the end of his speech, everyone staring at him. He noticed that some of the students hid themselves when he went through different scenarios, as if it were the case for them. Ms.Nelson was about to interrupt when Virgil started back again.
"So, please forgive me, if I'm ever not paying attention. Maybe, if you actually TAUGHT SOMETHING USEFUL INSTEAD OF COMPETE BULLSHIT THEN WE'D PAY ATTENTION!"
"OUT of my classroom this instant, Mr.Black!" she screamed, though it was a mere whisper compared to Virgil's.
Said student slammed his chair into the desk, and stomped out. Everyone stood as if time itself were frozen, most not daring to breathe. Virgil was usually quite calm, so this was a shock to everyone. Roman, however, knew this was wrong. He too stood and walked out of the classroom, ignoring the teacher's demands for him to sit.
Roman walked the halls for a minute until he came to find his lover sitting against the wall with his head in his hands. He walked over and sat next to him slowly, not to startle him.
"Hey, babe, what's going on?" he said gently.
"I tried, Ro. I really really tried." he looked up with slightly teary eyes.
"What do you mean?"
"I'm sorry. I thought if I ignored my breaking point I wouldn't break, but here we are. I thought if I ignored everything it'd be fine, but it's not; I'm not."
"What's going on? Did something happen?" Roman asked, trying to get his boyfriend to look at him.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you before, but.... I've just been going through a rough time. It's been... a lot; my anxiety is getting a lot worse, I haven't been sleeping, and I just reached my breaking point." Virgil refused to meet Roman's eyes.
"Babe... why didn't you tell me? I could've helped you with it."
"I just thought... I thought that if you knew, I'd just be a burden to you. I wanted to ignore it and pretend I was fine."
"Virgil, that is a really unhealthy way of dealing with this stuff. You could never be a burden to me or anyone, if I had known I would've gladly helped you." Roman took the other's chin to make him look at him. He saw his boyfriend close to crying, and it broke his heart.
"I'm really sorry, Ro. It's just.... hard for me to talk to people about this stuff, you know that." Virgil implied to his past, causing his boyfriend to wince.
The anxious emo did NOT have a good history, to say the least. His parents were alcoholics, he was the only child, didn't have any friends up until he met Ro and the others, had terrible anxiety and sometimes depression, so he delt with everything alone. It was just all bad, and it was hard to get him out of the mindset of him not being all alone.
"You have us now." He moved to where their eyes were locked, "You have me now." he watched as tears melted their way out of Virgil's eyes.
"Thank you, Roman, I don't know what I'd do without you." Virgil leaned up against the one he loved so much, prompting the other to put his arm around him and be cuddled.
"Anytime, my love, I'd be so happy to help you with whatever you need; I love you, dear." the dramatic teen whispered lovingly.
"I love you too, Ro. I promise I'll try to be more open about this stuff."
"Good, but next time... try NOT exploding on the teacher in the middle of class." he said teasingly, prompting giggles to escape the pair.
"Yeah, I bet that'd be the better option wouldn't you?" the emo continued giggling at the predicament at hand.
"Oh yeah."
The couple stayed there, knowing that at any second the teacher would be yelling at them. But, somehow, that didn't seem to matter; it seemed like nothing did. Virgil having released all his pent-up emotion, and Roman learning and knowing that he would be able to help... that's what mattered to them.
But still... they wished Virgil didn't yell at the teacher when she stood over them just minutes later... Oops?
Hey I really hope you liked this, I tried really hard to get it out faster than last one. Still working on things, but here it is. Take it easy guys, gals, and non-binary pals!
PEACE OUT!
