No One's P.O.V

The sides were all called in for a meeting, they got the feeling that whatever it was about was serious, even when Thomas turned the camera on, it still felt really tense. Thomas didn't tell them what the video was on until the camera was rolling, which didn't ease their worries much.

"What is up everybody?!" He shouted at the screen.

"It's been awhile since it was just me talking one-on-one with you guys, but... There is something i want to tell you guys. And I've been sitting on this for awhile now... But I want to be honest with you guys and not hide and play this character anymore... I'm not cisgender."

"Wait, Thomas, you're just gonna drop this bomb without letting us know about any of this first?" Virgil interrupts as he's popping up.

"I assumed you guys already knew, do you not?" The sides shook their heads in unison.

"How come you guys didn't know, you're apart of me so I just thought you'd have the same gender as me." Thomas looked as his aspects looked down and blushed, looking ashamed.

"Wait... Are you all cis and I'm not?" The host asked worriedly.

The sides looked between each other with obvious nervousness in their eyes, how could they have known?

"Will one of you please say something?"

"Well... I'm not cis.." Roman spoke up.

"Me either..." Patton replied.

"I do not believe I am cis either." Logan said. All eyes went to Virgil. He blushed and shifted under the attention.

"Well... I'm not technically cis either."

"Well, it's good to know I'm not the only one." Thomas said relieved. "So, are we all the same gender or are you all different?"

"Well, I identify as a trans woman, and have so for a long time." Roman nervously spoke.

"That's awesome, I'm glad you could tell us. Is there a new name we should learn?"

"Yeah, the name I've chosen is Rose, and I use she/her pronouns."

"We're really proud of you, Rose." Thomas said reassuringly. Eyes went to Patton, implying it was his turn.

"I um.. I identify as non-binary. I just feel like a mix of everything and it was hard to figure out, because I still like being 'the dad'... But I don't entirely feel like a man. So yeah.. Non-binary. I've chosen to shorten my name to 'Pat' and I use they/them pronouns." Pat said in a jumbled form.

"That's great, Pat." Thomas smiled. Eyes then went to Logan.

"I guess I'm up next.. I identify as agenger. I've never felt like a had a gender I just knew I was me. I am very content with the name Logan, or Lo, but I do use they/them pronouns."

"Awesome, Lo." Once again, eyes went to next in line: Virgil, who seemed more nervous than the others were, but thats not new.

"I-I.. Uh I... Well, it's just that... AG!"

"It's ok, you dont have to tell us if you don't want to. We'll support you either way."

"I know.. I just never thought... No, I'm ready. Here goes nothing: I identify as a trans guy. W-when I was made in the sub-conscious, for some reason... I was made in a female body. I don't know why or how but I know I am not a girl. And when I learned that the rest of us were assigned male at birth, I got really really jealous. I've always hated my female body and knew I was a man. So yeah... I still use Virgil and he/him pronouns."

"We're proud of you, Virge. We know it's hard for you to share and be honest with us but we're glad you can now." Pat assured their son.

"So, Thomas, since we're all different, what do you identify as?" Logan questioned, getting the attention of the others on their host.

"Well... After a lot of questioning and research... I identify as gender-fluid. Which makes more sense now, considering all of you are different genders. I use Thomas and he/him pronouns on masculine days, Taylor and they/them for neutral days, and Tess and she/her for feminine days. I'm going to start wearing different colored bracelets to differentiate the days: blue for masculine, black for neutral, and pink for feminine. But yeah, there it is; and I still love and accept all of you no less than before."

"We love you too," the sides all said in unison. The tension that had been hanging in the room lessened greatly, as well as the tension all of the individuals felt in themselves. There was no more lying, or keeping up this facade... Just honesty; which was freeing.

"Well... This was a learning experience." Thomas chuckled awkwardly, the rest of his sides following suit.

"Yeah, it's not everyday you learn stuff like this."

"Well, would anything we do be considered 'normal' to anyone?" Thomas laughed. "... I love you guys." He said finally, bringing in all his sides for a group hug.

"... Well I've had enough feelings for today, I'm out." Virgil said, sinking down.

"I aswell." Lo said, following.

"I'm proud of you, kiddo." Pat said lovingly on their way down.

"Rose? You ok?" Thomas asked worriedly, as said sides eyes were watering.

"Yeah. Never been better... Thank you so much... I've just been waiting for so long, I always thought I was alone in this..." She said as tears rolled down her face.

"Aw, come here, sis." Thomas embraced her in a hug. "You are never alone, I promise you. Ok?"

"Ok... Thank you!" She hugged her host one last time before sinking out. Thomas turned to the camera.

"Well... I hope some of you learned something from that... Mess. I think the moral is to accept and love yourself above anything else. You are valid and worthy and never ever alone. But yeah... I guess that's it...
Take it easy guys, gals, and non-binary pals! PEACE OUT!"

Welp. Sorry it's not as long and sorry it took forever to get out but I hope you liked it. This one-shot means a bit more to me, so I really hope it helps someone. But yeah, let me know what you think of it and what I should do next. Should I add more to this AU? If so, what do you want to see from it? Cause I do like it and part of me does want to add to it. But just let me know.
