"Yeah, I wish we could trade places. I really don't want to go on this Kerberos mission." Keith grumbled. "Like how did I even pass the test? I just bubbled in answers!" He could feel himself getting more agitated just at the thought when his name was called that day. Katie looked down, knowing she'd miss him. She had already talked to Matt before he left. He blabbered about looking good for all the girls his age, but she knew no one would go for a dork like him. But with Keith, the same guy she'd get so bashful around since he was being tutored by Matt. "Well I'm sure it'll be fun." She said, her voice was weak. Keith peered over at her and saw her saddened face. "I won't be gone for long. It's only me, Shiro, Matt and Sam. It's just a small mission and well be back before you know it." Keith patted her shoulder, being socially awkward and not knowing how to properly comfort someone. Katie laughed at his horrible attempt to comfort. "I'm sure you'll be fine, Keith." She said. Those would be the last words she'd say to him.
