"It;s good that we get to bond like this." Krolia said as she plopped down on the ground, her body mass thudding to the floor with a loud thump. Keith tried to ignore the obnoxious sound knowing that his mother was quite built and large as a galra.
"Yeah, it's nice. I guess there's a few things I should tell you- about my life and everything... Everyone." His mind trailed off to his closest friends who were galaxies away. "But tell me about how you and dad met."
Krolia jumped and felt herself blush, "Oh, well let's just start with your friends." She cleared her throat to hide her stuttering.
"Well there's Shiro, he's like my older brother, seeing I have no real siblings." As Keith talked, Krolia's eyes dropped to the floor. "He's always so patient, I wish I was as patient as him. And then there's Allura, she's cool. I mean, she's a princess and I liked her for a while, but I don't know we just just grow out of it? It's confusing. And Hunk, he's always happy, hungry, and cautious. Lance is... Lance." Keith made a sour look, "he's so obnoxious and loud, and always flirting  with everyone! But when he's not being a quiznak, he's actually pretty cool. I even heard he's getting stronger, guess he really does deserve the name sharp shooter." Keith laughed a little before his smile softened, "And then Pidge. She's so different from everyone else. I mean she's short, but she's way smarter than all of us combines!" He paused, remembering that he wasn't a paladin anymore, "Well, the smartest of them."
Memories of the green paladin came back, their good and bad moments together, fighting along side, it was like two puzzle pieces that fit perfectly with one another. Krolia looked over at her son who was still thinking about the girl, his eyes wondering afar off into his own little planet.
"You must like her." she said, snapping him back.
"What? N... Well... She's just different." Keith's face flushed red. Is it really a crush? Krolia shook her head and smiled, it was exactly how she felt when she met Keith's dad.
