It is yet another day where Kirsten and Elyssa was off from school and work as well. They worked as assassins and sometimes taking the duty of spies.

It was a dangerous they were very aware, even if they are in school grounds it can never be perfectly safe. Let their guard down once and it's over.

It's not like the two ever get attacked because they were always so quick with the assassination that if someone did see it take place they will just see a glance of the two's faces.

The two were in a cafe, facing the glass walls seeing how life works outside of the cafe, Elyssa ordered a vanilla bean frappe while Kirsten ordered a mocha frappe.

Today was saturday, the two were just chatting and blended in with everyone else easily and if someone was to search for them specifically it would be a challenge, nearly impossible almost.

"Elyssa?" Kirsten called to her best friend her eyes concentrated on every detail in Elyssa's face as if she's will never get to see her again.

"Hm?" Elyssa responded looking to her left to meet Kirsten's eyes.

"I just.. I wanted you to know that I love you and I will always want to protect you from all evil." Kirsten said softly before glancing back down at her cup.

"I love you too Kirsten, I always will." Elyssa flashed her small smile before sipping again.

Elyssa and Kirsten then stood up and pushed in the chair making a slight croak, scraping the floor. The two planned to bingewatch today in their shared apartment.

When Kirsten opened the glass door a fresh breeze hit the two making them inhale and exhale at the same time clearly enjoying the city they are currently in.

The city was filled with crowds everywhere enjoying such a nice weather. Elyssa reached out for Kirsten's hand intertwining them.

Then there it is, Elyssa feels like someone is watching her every move, every breath.

"Princess, how's Prince chipmunk going?" Kirsten asks thoughtfully, cracking a smile when Elyssa whipped her head to her and blushed slightly

"He.. he's alright" Elyssa said ignoring the stare for now

"Alright?? What do you mean alright? He has to be the best boyfriend to be fit for a princess like you." Kirsten smiled once more, holding tighter on Elyssa's hand.

If Kirsten doesn't feel the stare then it's probably nothing

Right then and there Kirsten turned her body swiftly a loud noise was heard, leaning against Elyssa's body a bloodcurling scream erupted from the crowd and everybody turned to them some rushing away.

Elyssa was confused as to why Kirsten was still leaning against her, everything was so loud it was making her dizzy. Kirsten was gripping on Elyssa's hand and her chin on her shoulder.

"Kirsten?" Elyssa lets out, confusion evident in her voice and everything dawned to her once Kirsten didn't respond and instead reached for her other hand.

Elyssa was too afraid to look down, to see what happened but the wet substance she's starting to feel on her stomach is unbearable.

"Kirsten!" Elyssa finally looked down and saw the blood dribbling out of her bestfriend's backside.

Kirsten managed to look up to Elyssa and smiled a little bit, tears stinging her eyes as she moved both of them to the side another piercing sound erupted and Kirsten flinched.

It hurts it really hurts

The two's body were still connected but everything around them seemed slow motion. Elyssa couldn't even process what was happening till she heard the third piercing sound completely shocking Kirsten once again.

Kirsten lost her grip on Elyssa's hand and her mouth hung open that one hit near her left chest. She couldn't breathe the pain from the three wounds spread throughout her whole body and she felt like giving up.

Elyssa caught Kirsten before she fell and saw her face losing life slowly even if the small sad smile was present. Elyssa laced her fingers with Kirsten's and immediately started sobbing. Kirsten lay on the pavement three visible shots were seen through her white shirt.

"K-kirsten.. please.." she held tight on Kirsten's hand and Kirsten squeezed it back but it came weak almost fragile.

"I-i.. I lo- love.. you.." Kirsten whispered out and even tried to get up but the pain was unbearable and she didn't try to move anymore.

Elyssa bit her trembling lip, the sight beneath her was traumatizing. She weakly reached for her phone but noticed that it wasn't even there, her stupid self misplaced it. She can't even call the authorities or the agency.

"Kirsten.. please stay.. with me" Elyssa almost begged reaching out with her empty hand to stroke Kirsten's face

Kirsten closed her eyes but the moment she did she became more aware of the unbelievable pain she couldn't even move anymore.

Even though everything hurt Kirsten smiled because she saved the love of her like, her best friend. She was happy she could save such a significant person in her life. That Elyssa could continue on without her.

Kirsten knew Elyssa could find the box Kirsten made in case she died, it was filled with her precious memories and letters for everyone she loved dearly.

Memory by memory flashed in Kirsten's mind, Elyssa's hand the only thing giving warmth in her body.

Elyssa's tears wouldn't stop streaming down her face she sat there helplessly, knowing Kirsten will not get through this one.

"I will always want to protect you from all evil."

Her words struck Elyssa, Kirsten already knew about the person watching them before she even noticed. That only made her breath hitch and break down even more.

"I-i.. i'm.. sorry.." Elyssa whispered, but when her eyes cleared she saw Kirsten wasn't breathing anymore.

"K-kirsten?.. KIRSTEN?!" Elyssa yelled out her voice cracking but she received no response but only heard the people rushing elsewhere worrying about theirselves.
