"For the two of us, home isn't a place. It is a person. And we are finally home."
-Stephanie Perkins
Emily Bronte's words from her work of literature, Jane Eyre, danced across the page in the Hawaiian sunlight.
"Where did you want to go for lunch, Addy?" I shrugged and placed my mint-green bookmark into chapter 16 and sat up.
"Sandwiches?" I stood up and slipped on my blue sundress over my rose-pink bikini. I slid my sunglasses on watching Josh pull on a grey tank top. His black and grey swim trunks were still dripping with ocean water.
"Sandwiches," he repeated and we walked hand in hand up to the concession stands. We spent the rest of the day at the beach and Josh was kind enough to throw me into the water a handful of times. The sun was starting to set over the horizon and I leaned back against Josh's chest smiling.
"Thank you," Josh looked down at me and smirked.
"For what?" I pressed my lips together and shrugged.
"Everything," I turned around and draped my legs over his. I kissed him softly and his arms pulled me closer. I released a breathy moan and laced my fingers through his hair.
"Do you want to head back?" He was breathing just as hard and I nodded quickly.
His lips burned into the skin of my neck as he pushed me against the wall next to our hotel room door. He grabbed our key and unlocked the door quickly. The door swung open and I pulled him inside. I pulled off my coverup and Josh pulled off his shirt quickly. I grabbed the edge of his swim trunks and kissed him.
"I need you," Josh stated, untying my bikini top and I pulled off my bottoms quickly.
"You already have me."

I lifted my head from the pillow and looked at him quickly.
"You are sunburned babe," I looked at Josh's chest and frowned.
"I must have been too busy putting sunscreen on you to remember my own body," I moved to jump out of the bed and Josh's hold tightened.
"Addyson, I'm fine," I shook my head and wiggled out of his arms. He begrudgingly followed my directions and I walked into the bathroom. I grabbed my bag and walked back into the bedroom. I slid up onto the bed straddling his waist. His hands slid up the back of my thighs and I started to rub the gel over his reddened skin.
"Feel better," he exhaled and shivered against my touch and the gel. I moved to get up and his grip tightened on my legs, "Josh, I need to wash my hands," He chuckled and pulled my legs around his waist.
"I love you," Josh placed a sweet kiss onto my lips and I slid my fingers into his soft-black hair.

I poured myself another cup of coffee and continued to read my book. Josh has been on work calls all morning and I was bored just staring at him waiting to have our honeymoon back.
"Josh," he looked up and pulled the phone away from his left ear.
"I'm going for a swim," I was thankful for the private swimming pool on the balcony.
"Okay," I rolled my eyes, pissed off at him for taking the phone calls in the first place. I walked into our bedroom and changed into the most revealing bathing suit I packed. The black low-cut bikini top showed almost all of my cleavage and I bent over and loosely tied the string-bikini bottoms. I walked out and made sure to brush against Josh's back. I felt his eyes on me and I slid open the door and jumped into the pool. I resurfaced and Josh was still looking at me. He was still talking on the phone but I could tell I made my point. He slid off his tank top and walked towards the balcony doors.
"Mark, I'll call you in two weeks when I'm home from my honeymoon," he hung up and tossed his phone on the table.
"Baby. I'm sorry," I looked up at him and frowned, "No more phone calls I promise. I'm going to turn it off," I gave him my, 'I'll believe it when I see it,' look. He slid into the water next to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, "I like this bathing suit," I smirked and rested my head on his shoulder, "I am sorry, baby, for all the phone calls," I shrugged and turned to face him.
"I guess I have to forgive you," his grip tightened around my waist and he smiled.
"You better. You're stuck with me for a while," the cold water was resting on my skin and I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. He smiled my favorite crooked smile and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"What did you want to do today, babe?" I asked while I continued to enjoy his closeness.
"Well I may have to take more phone calls," I slapped his left arm and wiggled to get out of his grip, "I'm kidding. There is a carnival on one of the boardwalks. Do you want to go?" he asked and I pushed off of the blue, stone wall and pushed him underwater. I resurfaced and was lifted into the air.
"Josh!" I screamed and was tossed into the air landing in the water. I tackled his back and he grabbed my body and spun to face me.
"I love you," he kissed me and pushed me against the wall.
"I love you too," I mumbled and placed my lips back on his.
The sand broke under my toes and Josh slipped his grey sweater around my shoulders.
"Where are we going for dinner?" Josh kissed my forehead and laced our fingers together.
"It's a surprise," I mumbled under my breath and followed Josh up to the streets. We stopped at this little Italian restaurant and I smiled at him.
"This is cute," he laced our fingers and opened the door for me. I inhaled and my stomach grumbled at the delicious smell of bread and pizza.
"Hi. I have a reservation for two at seven," the hostess smiled and opened the book.
"Josh Carter?"
"Yep."
"Right this way," we followed her and I smiled at the ambiance.
"I hope you enjoy," she walked away and Josh looked at me.
"How did you find this place?"
"I asked the reception desk at the hotel. I told them you loved Italian food," I smiled and grabbed his hand on the table.
"You will never stop surprising me."
"I love the look on your face when I do."
"This has been a great trip. I don't want to go home tomorrow."
"I know. Me too. Maybe we can come back here for our first anniversary."
"I would love that," our server arrived and poured us both a glass of white wine.
"I will be back to take your order," he gave us a kind smile and I relaxed into my chair.
"To you," Josh raised his glass and I smiled.
"To us."
