Augusta's pov:
"Annabeth." I said.
She looked terrified. Ruby was scared, but Annabeth was terrified. It made me wonder what they did to her. I didn't want to know right now.
Even though she probably hasn't had a shower in three years and was deathly skinny, Annabeth managed to look amazing.
She had snarled blond hair and large brown eyes. Her form looked like I could be very good after she was better. But above all her scent. It rung of blood, filth, sadness, anger, hate, disgust, sickness. But at the very end was hope. She never have up. She always fought, now her prayers were being answered.
"Annabeth, my name is Augusta. These are my friends. We've come here to break you out." I said walking in.
She cringed and backed into a corner.
"Why?" She whispered.
Her voice was musical, now I saw why Derrick couldn't live without her.
"I'm friends with your mate Derrick. Were going to bring you back to him." I said.
"Derrick?" She sounded confused.
"Yes Derrick." I said.
"Derrick, Derrick?" Annabeth chanted, trying to remember.
"Oh Derrick!" Annabeth smiled when she remembered.
"Let's get you out of here, then we can go see Derrick." I said giving her a hand.
"See Derrick." She agreed.
She was doing pretty ok with her speech, considering she hadn't spoken much in the past three years.
"Ryan, hold her please, I won't be able to carry her the whole way and fight." I said.
Ryan reached out to pick her up but she thrashed away and cried.
"No, no, boys bad." She screamed.
"Annabeth. Annabeth! It's ok, he's not touching you. He's good, he won't hurt you. His name is Ryan." I said.
"No, bad." She said sobbing.
What had they done to her?
"Guys hurry up! Guards are coming from- oh crap, Demetrius we have a situation!" Brendan called.
Demetrius ran back the way they came, Wanda at his heals. Then I heard fighting.
"We have to go Annabeth." I said.
"Bad, boys are bad." Annabeth repeated.
"Ryan isn't a boy, he's a man. See!" I said.
"Can't trust." Annabeth.
Gun shots went off.
"Haven't you learned anything. You can always trust a guy with pink hair." I said.
"It's true." Ryan smirked.
She shook her head.
"Annabeth I'm sorry we have to go now or you'll be stuck here for the rest of your life." I said.
She sobbed harder but stood up.
"Don't hold her to tightly." I said to Ryan.
He nodded and scooped Annabeth up. Her sobbing continued.
I went in front, the boys with the girls behind me.
"Wait here." I told them.
Then went to join the fight.
