Wolverine and the Wolves: Chalpter 49

Kyle's pov:

It's been almost a week sense I left the pack. It doesn't feel odd to be on my own, I actually welcomed the familiar feeling.

I had made my way from Canada to Alaska. I loved it here, the cold kept people away and there was so much to explore.

As much as I hated Blue for taking Augusta from me I can see why he decided to stay in the woods instead of trying to live a normal life.

Everything was less complicated. No interaction, plenty of new food, life couldn't be better.

For the first time in a while I felt satisfied for a moment. I thought of how Augusta was right again and smiled.

Augusta's pov:

Nearly a week after I knew about Lucifer and haven't seen him sense I feel like I'm going crazy.

Blue seems to feel that I'm anxious, he' keeps asking me if I was ok. I told him I was fine, but he wasn't convinced.

I wanted to let him die, usually I could. But right now I was having a lot of trouble staying where I was. If I listened to my heart I would be running to find him, but lastly I've been listening to my brain. And it's hurting.

"Let's go do something." Ashely said.

"Like what?" I asked.

"Something fun, we've been in the house for far to long." Lucy says, coming to sit with us.

"Your not going anywhere, your pregnant." Darien said sitting next to her and wrapping his arms around her.

"I'll be fine, we really do need some fun." Lucy said.

"What's fun around here?" Wanda asked coming over.

"There's bowling?" Ashley said.

"Bowling? Really?" Wanda said.

"What kind of fun are you thinking?" Annabeth asked.

"I don't know, something we can all do, maybe a girls night." Ashley said.

"Wait, how old is Ruby?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, why?" Annabeth asked.

"I was thinking we could go to a club." I said.

"A what?" Darien asked.

"It's a place where people dance and socialize." Lucy said.

"Oh that sounds nice." He said.

"It's also where people get drunk and grind with total strangers, but you know, it's no big deal." Ashley said.

"Grind?" Darien asked.

"It's nothing." I said quickly.

"That's actually a great idea." Lucy said.

"Let's make it happen then, we'll go tonight." Ashely said.

"I'll go see how old Ruby is." I said.

I walked down the hall to Ruby's room. She has been adjusting to pack life pretty well, Armando has defiantly helped her settle in. I'm glad she had a home here now.

I knocked on the room and it opened a minute later.

Ruby's red hair was braided back in a ladder braid. That was her favorite thing to do, braid.

"Hey." I said.

"Hi Augusta." Ruby said opening the door and letting me in.

She was painting a mural on the wall. It was very large and complicated. The background was the green forest, and a lake. Around the lake was everyone in wolf form, me as a wolverine and the vampires, Wanda, Lucy and Ryan were painted on as well.
