Unknown pov:

I hated doing this. I lied to them so we could get her. Now she's here with us, but she's leaving us. She's dying.

I was scheduled for guard duty in the dungeon in five minutes. I hurried in from patrol and took a really fast shower. Before getting dressed and switching places with the last guard.

"Logan." Smith, the last guard said.

"Smith," I nodded to him. "How's everything down here?" I asked.

"Nothing new to report, except for that new girl down the end. What's her name Augusts or something? She's a goner." He said, before handing me the keys.

I tensed when I heard that, but quickly hid my reaction.

Once he went up the flights of stairs I shut the door to the dungeon and hurried over to her cell. I put my hands on the bars and looked her over.

Augusta was still unconscious. She had been unconscious for two days. After being beat so hard. More bruises covered her sides and stomach. Her cloths were blood stained and ripped all over.

It was killing me to see her like this. I loved and missed her so much. I bet she didn't even remember me. She would soon enough. I was planning to get her out, today. I quickly went back to the dungeon door and locked it.

The other prisoners gulped. We usually locked the doors before we beat them. I never hurt them. I was just a guard, it made me look weak to my pack mates but I didn't care. We were leaving now and never coming back.

I unlocked her door then did the same with her chains. I hissed and pulled away when one hit my foot. The skin was burned off on the top of my foot. Then I remembered the bullet. That was what was killing her.

I quickly examined the wound before carefully reaching for the silver bullet. It stung my fingers but I pulled it out of her anyways. I remembered the disinfectant in my back pocket and poured some into her chest. Even in her trance she winced. I bandaged it before moving on.

I ignored the pain from the silver and continued to get her out. The chains held her up so she fell into my arms when the last chain was undone. I picked her up bridal style and held her close.

If they found me I was a dead man. But the risk was worth it. She was here and back in my arms at last. I wasn't going to let anything happen to her.

As I was making my way out the back the other prisoners begged me to release them to. I didn't have enough time. I was already risking enough already. I hurried through the door and ran out the exit tunnel.

I was so focused on getting out fast I didn't notice someone in front of me. We smacked into each other and both fell back. I clutched Augusta and made sure she fell on me.

I went to stand up but found Augusta ripped from my grasp and was pinned to a wall. Some dude from BlackSurface pack was choking me.

I was loosing oxygen fast. I could feel my face turning blue. I quickly punched him in the guy before I passed out. I gasped for air when he let go and doubled over. I quickly picked Augusta up and ran for it.

She shook in my arms as I ran. I couldn't tell if it was from my fast movement or she was waking up. Ether way we were getting out of here.

I passed the river and threw the keys to the dungeon in, they sunk under the rushing water.

Then something very hard and heave hit my head. I almost passed out but I slumped agains a tree. I slid down the tree, still holding Augusta.
What was I hit with? And why did it hurt so bad?

A blurry object came into view, which almost looked like a man.

"She did nothing, I swear. Take me instead, but leave her alone please." I begged.
