Princess Peach: Game Over

Chapter 10: At Bowser's castle

I have been at the Bowser castle wreckage for nearly an hour. I am wondering whether we should leave.

"What should we do, Toadlia? Should we go back to Toad Town?" I ask.

"Guess so," said Toadlia.

But then Bowser awakens.

"Aw, no, you're staying with me, Princess," said Bowser.

"Uh, no, she isn't," said Toadlia.

"Be quiet, little girl. You don't understand this stuff," said Bowser.

"What is there to understand? You love the Princess, but she doesn't love you. So you kidnap her and force her to marry you!" said Toadlia.

"It's not like that!" Said Bowser.

"Really," said Toadlia.

"She loves me too!" Said Bowser.

I gasped.

"I do not love you!" I shouted.

"You don't even know what you're saying, Princess. Mario's gone. That's the past," said Bowser.

"You killed him!" I shout.

Then Daisy and Rosalina appear.

"What are you doing here, Peach? We've been looking all over for you!" Said Rosalina.

"What do you think?" I reply.

"I told you so many times! Give him a chance. Be nice to him. And he'll be nice to you," said Daisy.

"YOU DON'T CARE ONE BIT! THE DAY AFTER LUIGI DIES YOU GET ENGAGED TO YOSHI! IT'S DIFFERENT FOR YOU! TOADLIA IS THE ONLY ONE WHO UNDERSTANDS ME! SO LEAVE ME ALONE! I CAN MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS!" I shout.

"If you always made your own decisions you'd still be crying over his grave. Enjoy life! Have fun!" Said Daisy.

"It's hard to, you know," I say.

Then Daisy softens up.

"I know, Peach. It's hard. It was hard for me at first. But then I remembered Yoshi. To tell the truth, I've always had a slight crush on him," said Daisy.

"Do you understand, then?" I ask.

"Yes. Of course," Daisy says.

"So you're not going to force me to be with Bowser?" I ask.

"No. Instead I'm going to invite him to your castle!" Says Daisy.

"NO!" I scream.

"You should get to know each other better," says Daisy.

"Rosie! Please! Tell her!" I plead, remembering the time when Rosie worked together with Mario to defeat Bowser. Unlike Daisy, she knows what he's capable of.

"No," she says.

"What???" I say

"I agree. You barely know him. No one's purely evil, Peach," she says.

"Bowser is!" I tell her.

"No. I believe that Bowser has a hidden softer side. I think you could help him bring it out. And if you don't like thinking about it like that, think that you're saving the kingdom," says Rosalina.

I give in.

"Ugh, okay," I say.

Then Bowser looks around.

"Uh, how are we going to get to Toad Town?" Bowser asks.

Bowser's castle is very far away from Toad Town. You need one of Bowser's airships. Or Mario. And since Toadlia destroyed all of Bowser's flying  airships, we  can't get back.

"I don't know," Rosalina says.

"It's her fault," says Bowser, poiting at Toadlia.

"No, it's your fault for attempting to kidnap Peach!" Says Toadlia.

Bowser and Toadlia get into a mini-fight.

"Calm down you two!" Says Rosalina.

"At this rate we're never going to get back to Toad Town!" Says Daisy.

"Anyway, how are we getting back to Toad Town?" I ask.

"We're walking," says Daisy.

"It's possible. Mario's done it countless times," says Rosalina.

"And blame her if you're annoyed," says Bowser.

I look at Toadlia. I'm not angry with her in the least. She made Bowser less powerful. So I begin walking with them and hope that I'll be able to open that safe in my castle. I need Mario.
