Your POV
As you were crying in your room you heard a knock on your door
"Can I come in" Carl said In a shaky voice like he's been crying
"Sure" I said as my voiced chocked
He came in and noticed me crying
"Hey it's okay don't cry it's going to get better don't worry" he said
"I've been sad for years....don't tell me it gets better"I said while tears rolled down my face

"Don't say that it will trust me" he said like he truly did mean it

Maybe he was right maybe it we'll get better but right now all I want to do is cry and scream because it's killing me inside
"Carl I know your trying to help but nothing going to make me h-happy okay I g-got to go " I said as I stood up from my bed and ran out of the room
"Y/n wait come back " Carl said as he ran after me
As you ran, you ran to the stables and noticed max was there you petted him while tears rolled down your eyes and decided you just needed to leave the farm so you got buttercup ready for a ride and got on her with max right by your side and left before you can get off the farm Beth stopped you and said "she wanted to come" you nodded and waited for her to get a horse ready when she was finished you guys left was you were off the farm you looked over at Beth her eyes puffed form how much she's been crying you knew she was hurting as much as you were. As you guys were ridding no one said a word it was silent but a comfortable one.
"Beth are you okay" you asked
She looked at you she gave a small smile and nodded
"Are you?" She asked back
You just shrugged you honestly didn't know if you were fine
She nodded as if she understood what you were feeling
It was getting dark so you and Beth decided to go back to the farm because the funeral was going to start and you wanted to tell your mother once last time.
Carl's POV
Y/n has been gone for a while I'm actually getting worried what if she doesn't come back I immediately erase that thought from my mind when I saw her coming back I ran to where she was as soon as she was off of buttercup and hugged her
"You know how worried I was about you" I said as I hugged her tightly
"Just needed some air"she said as we pulled out of the hug
Out of the corner of my eye I saw Beth smiling at us
I just chuckled I didn't really see myself and y/n as a couple
"I have to go talk to you later" y/n said
I just nodded I don't really want her to leave for some odd reason Author* smirks*😏

Your POV
As you walked away Beth started asking you a bunch of questions
"So do you like him" she asked while smiling
You just shrugged and smiled
"So you do" she said nudging my shoulder
"I don't know maybe I do" I said
I really didn't know my feeling for him I did like him but i didn't know in what way
As we were walking Maggie and everyone was gathered around my mothers favorite tree
The funeral had started so i walked over there
I tried not to cry but that's was my mother the person who gave birth to me
I just cried as we all said are goodbyes
When everyone left i just stood there remembering how beautiful my mother was
Flashback
I was sitting on the rocking chair as my mother brushed my hair I was wearing a white gown that my mother worn
When she was my age as she was brushing my hair she was sing a song to me
I hummed along
"Well what are you to pretty lady's doing" my father walked in as he kissed my mother
"Well my dear are beautiful daughter here needed some mother time" she said
My dad just chuckled and smiled
"Well dinners ready" my father said
"Okay go on y/n let's go, go get ready" my mother said as I stood up
"I'm wearing it to dinner" I said I'm a sing-song voice
"No your not" my mom said while laughing
Flashback over
That laugh I still heard it
Tears came in even heavier then Maggie and Beth came over to comfort me
"Hey it's okay"Maggie said while holding me
"Yea everything's fine at least we have each other" Beth said also holding me
"You're right" I said while holding them
"Remember when every Friday mom made us watch those cheesy romance movie"Maggie said
I laughed "Maggie you used to love those" Beth said
I enjoyed the moment while it lasted because it could be the last I ever had with them .

As night had taken over the sky you started to feel tired so you walked back home
You didn't want to sleep by yourself so you walked to Maggie's room
"Hey mags can I sleep with you" I said
"Sure" she said
As she scooted over to make room for me
Not even 10 minutes later Beth came in and asked "can I sleep with y'all " Beth said
"Of course" me and Maggie said at the same time
As we made room for Beth we all talked and talked in till about 1 in the morning till we all got tired and decided to call it a night so we fell asleep
