Warriors Morning and Night

Chapter 1

He pounced on her back with a leap and struck her to the ground. "Got you!" the kit mewed. "I finally won a game!" "Yea good job!" the other mewed. "But that was just luck." "Nightkit Morningkit!" Darkstorm came out of the nursery "Time for bed!" "aww man!" Nightkit mewed. "I wanted to play more." "Yeah me too!" squeaked

Morningkit. "Just one more game, please?" "Sorry but no" Sunpelt mewed coming out of the nursery "You two have to come in." "Okay..." Nightkit groaned. "Okay i'm coming mom" Mewed Morningkit. The two padded into the nursery, curled up and fell asleep.

The next morning the kits went to the elders den to hear a story. "And that's how he was banished from the forest." Meowed Dappleslice. "And he will not be heard from again." "Was the story real?" Asked Nightkit. "Of course it was!" Laughed Dappleslice. "Though Badgerstripe wasn't ever found." "What did Badgerstripe look like? Morningkit asked. "He was gray with one long stripe down his back, and yellow eyes." Dappleslice replied. Soon Nightkit left wanting to find a moss ball to play with, saw a leaf on the other side of the camp, and ran after it.

The leaf flew out of the camp, and Nightkit climbed out of the camp and chased it. Morningkit padded out of the nursery and saw Nightkit, and chased after him. "Nightkit where are you going?" she yowled "We aren't allowed out of the camp!" Nightkit didn't hear her and kept chasing the leaf, until he realized he was out of camp. He could hear Morningkit yelling his name, and he padded toward Morningkit. "Nightkit what are you doing?" she meowed. "You ran out of camp!" "Oh I didn't realize." Nightkit mewed. "Lets just get back to camp. "Where is camp?" Morningkit asked. "uh oh..." Nightkit replied.

"Darkstorm where are Nightkit and Morningkit?" Asked Sunpelt. "They have been out there for awhile now." "Yea, they have." Darkstorm replied. "I'll go check on them" Darkstorm padded out of the nursery and padded around camp looking for them. "Where have they gone?" Darkstorm mumbled to herself. "Probably playing another game of hide and seek..." Barkstar the Leafclan leader padded out of his den. "Oh Barkstar!" Darkstorm padded over to him. "Have you seen Nightkit and Morningkit?" "No." he replied. "But i'll let you know if I see them." "thanks." Darkstorm mumbled. "I'll continue looking." Sunpelt Padded out of the nursery. "Any sign of them?" She asked. "I'm getting a little worried." "No sign of either of them" Darkstorm Meowed with worry in her voice. "And i'm getting worried too." "Have they gone out of camp?" Sunpelt asked. "I know Nightkit does not pay attention sometimes and Morningkit always goes with him." "I know, but to be fair Ididn't pay attention that well when I was a kit either." Darkstorm murmured. "I just hope they're okay."

Nightkit and Morningkit wandered around looking for the camp but found nothing. "Are you sure this is the right way Nightkit?" Morningkit asked. "We end up nowhere!" "I'm sure this time!" Nightkit replied. "I never lose track!" Morningkit glanced at him "okay I lose track sometimes..." He admitted. "Hey what's that?" Morningkit mewed and saw a black flash past them. "Or who is that?" "I don't know." Nightkit mewed back. "I just hope it's one of our clanmates." The black flash appeared to be a cat, it tried to get behind them but Morningkit kept an eye on it. "Why is it following us?" Morningkit asked. "Its creepy." All of a sudden the Black cat jumped at them. "Nightkit Lookout!" Night kit looked behind him and saw the cat trying to grab him but he dodged. Morningkit started to run and Nightkit followed. Nightkit managed to get under a weak log and make it collapse. The cat screeched in anger as it ran after them. Morningkit got to the top of a tree, and Nightkit hid. The cat growled "Where are those little scraps of fur?" The cat hissed. "I'll get those kits if it's the last thing I do." And the cat padded away hissing to itself. "What was that?" Morningkit asked. "That wasn't expected." "I know." Nightkit replied. "But I think it's gone."
