Warriors Morning and Night

Chapter 25

"Do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect this clan, even at the cost of your lives?" Barkstar asked Orangepaw and Snowpaw. "I do." They both replied. "Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your warrior names." Barkstar meowed. "Snowpaw... from this moment on you shall be known as Snowball." Barkstar said. "Orangepaw... from this moment on you will be known as Orangepelt." Barkstar continued. "And by tradition Snowball and Orangepelt, must hold a silent vigil while the rest of us sleep. meeting dismissed." Snowball and Orangepelt padded to the center of camp. "We aren't far from being warriors Nightpaw!" Morningpaw purred. "I know!" Nightpaw replied. "I can't wait!" Morningpaw and Nightpaw padded into the apprentices den with some brand new apprentices. Morningpaw and Nightpaw had fallen asleep once they got done talking.

Once Nightpaw and Morningpaw had awoken they padded out of the apprentices den. Barkstar had padded up. "More apprentices are becoming warriors." Barkstar began. "And you two are now far behind. "We know." Nightpaw replied. "Though it's still going to be awhile." "Yes, but it's only one more moon you two have to wait." Barkstar meowed. "But more warriors there are, the fewer apprentices there are..." "Yes but there are many kits." Morningpaw murmured. "I'm sure they will become apprentices soon." "Your right." Barkstar mumbled. "But when they do become apprentices, it still takes time to teach them how to do everything a warrior needs to know." "Yea, I guess your right." Morningpaw meowed. "But it didnt take us long to learn." "Yes but you two had taught each other" Barkstar replied. "And other apprentices don't normally teach each other like you do." Barkstar meowed. "Anyways Comon, I'm going on patrol and I want you two to come."

"Alright what do you need to tell me?" Flareheart asked. "A moon from now we will be attacking Leafclan." The cat replied. "And we attack while everyone is asleep so they do not suspect a thing." "Umm why don't we attack another clan instead?" Flareheart began. "I mean we-" Flareheart was interrupted. "Are you for this plan Flareheart?" The cat growled. "Because if you are you will do what I say!" The cat hissed. "Y'now perhaps I should just kill you now!" "No! No.. need for that, I-I'll be with you..." Flareheart stammered. "Good!" The cat hissed. "If you dare think you can change this plan I'll kill you!" The cat growled. "Now I expect you to meet me here at the time everyone is asleep next moon." "Y-Yes I will." Flareheart murmured.
