Warriors Morning and Night

Chapter 21

Morningpaw and Nightpaw padded over to Flareheart, Who was sitting near the entrance. "Hiya Flareheart!" Morningpaw purred. "What are you doing?" "Just sitting around." Flareheart replied. " I don't know what to do." "Well want to go hunting with Morningpaw and me?" Nightpaw asked. "Sure, why not-" Flareheart was interrupted when Barkstar padded up to them. "Flareheart, I need to you to go on patrol with Flamepelt and Cheetahclaw." He meowed. "Oh okay." Flareheart mumbled. "We'll see ya Nightpaw and Morningpaw." Then Barkstar and Flareheart padded off to get Flamepelt and Cheetahclaw. "Well That didn't go well." Nightpaw meowed. "Is it just me or since Flareheart became a warrior again, we can't do anything with her anymore?" "Not Just you." Morningpaw replied. "Do you think Barkstar trusts Flareheart?" "I'm not so sure..." mumbled Nightpaw. "It's like he wants to trust her, so he's sending her to do all this stuff to show she's loyal." "I know." Morningpaw meowed. "Anyway Comon let's go hunting."

Once back from hunting, Morningpaw padded off to find Featherpaw, and Nightpaw padded off to find Orangepaw. Featherpaw had been chatting with her mentor Flamepelt, once Flamepelt had gotten done talking he padded off, and Featherpaw's expression had never been brighter. "Hi Featherpaw, what's up?" Morningpaw asked. "I'm going to be a warrior at the end of the day!" Featherpaw purred. "Flamepelt had told me!" "Awesome!" Morningpaw replied. "I'm so happy for you! Do you know what you'll name will be?" "No." Featherpaw mumbled. "Leaders only reveal the new warriors names at the ceremony." "Oh." Morningpaw meowed. "But still I'm sure your going to be a great warrior!" "Thanks!" Featherpaw purred. "Though Flamepelt said that to."

At the end of the day, Barkstar had called another meeting. "Today in Leafclan we have one apprentice ready to become a warrior." Barkstar meowed to everyone. "I Barkstar leader of Leafclan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice." Barkstar yowled. "Featherpaw... you have shown true loyalty to our clan these past few moons. Do you promise to uphold and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?" "I do." Featherpaw promised. "Then by the powers of Starclan I give you your warrior name." Barkstar meowed. "From this point on Featherpaw... your new name will be Featherflight. Leafclan honors you and we welcome you a a full warrior of Leafclan." "Featherflight! Featherflight! Featherflight!" Everyone cheered. "And by trodition, you must sit in vigil and guard the camp while the rest of us are asleep." Barkstar said. "Meeting dismissed." "While everybody else padded off to their dens Featherflight padded to the center of camp to guard it. Morningpaw and Nightpaw padded over to the apprentices den, and fell asleep.
