Jesse could hear Lukas grunt and mumble in his sleep, but she couldn't understand what he was saying. She wanted to wake him up to ask if he was okay, but she'd feel bad about waking him up, for he'd only been asleep for three hours.

Suddenly, Lukas sat strait up and yelled, "Don't touch her!"

Jesse jumped and turned around, "Are you okay?" Jesse picked up the crutch he had made her and made her way towards him. He sighed and massaged his temples, "Yeah, I just had a nightmare. That's all." He stood up and asked, "Are you ready to go?" Jesse nodded and they slowly began to walk. Jesse wasn't going to drop the subject that easily, I know there is something about this that he doesn't want to tell me, "What was your nightmare about?"

He shook his head, "Nothing that I need to worry you about." She grabbed his chin with her left hand, (her right is using the crutch) and twisted his head so that he faced her, "You can tell me." Lukas avoided eye contact, "You going to make me tell you, aren't you?"

Jesse nodded. He sighed and they continued to walk, "I've been having the same nightmare the past few nights." He furrowed his brows, "There's this guy... I never got to see his face, but he was forcing you to be with him." A tear fell out of Lukas' eye and he quickly wiped it away, "You looked so... heartbroken. He said that if you didn't leave us and Beacontown forever, he would kill us one by one until you agreed. You didn't want to, so he did something horribly sick to Jess and then grabbed me. Then I woke up. It's the same every night." He stared at the cave floor, "You hated him, but you went with him when he started messing with Jess. He said he was going to kill me anyways because he knew that I... Never mind." Lukas awkwardly brushed his blonde hair back with one hand.

Jesse didn't push him to tell her any more, "Don't worry. I would never let anyone harm you like that." She reassured him. He sighed, "That's what made me nervous. You cared about us so much! You risked yourself for us, and the rest of your life was spend with that... that.." Another tear fell from his eye and he wiped it away again.

Jesse put her hand on his shoulder, "I'm really sorry that you have to deal with those nightmares. At least they're only nightmares, right?"

It doesn't feel that way. I've never had nightmares so realistic and reoccur so often. He nodded, "Yeah, thanks for talking to me about them Jesse."
