Chapter 4 - Outcome

Steve showed up at the hospital, shortly after.  It was me, Steve, Natasha, and Agent Maria Hill.  We were all worried about Nick Fury.

Nick Fury was pronounced dead at the hospital.  All of us were saddened by his death.  It was a sad time for all of us.

(Two days later)

Two days went by, and things started to calm down.  Steve and I were doing wonderful.  We were so happy to be together. 

I was at the apartment, doing some cleaning.  It was another sunny day outside.  Steve was at work, to which he had a meeting to attend.

When I was finished cleaning, I sat down on the couch, and took a break.  I was tired and needed to relax for a bit.  It was one o clock in the afternoon.

Then, my phone started to ring.  I picked it up and looked at the caller ID.  Steve's name popped up.  I answered the phone.

"Hey babe" I said.

"Hey honey, are you alright?" Steve asked me.

"Yeah, I'm okay honey, just taking a break since I finished cleaning.  How's work?" I asked him.

"Eh you know, same old SHIELD. I'm just on lunch" Steve said.

"Yeah, just be safe at work honey" I said.

"I will sweetheart. I love you" Steve said.

"I love you too" I said.

"I'll see you tonight honey" Steve said.

"See you tonight babe" I said.

Steve hung up the phone.  I stood up, and went to go grab a bottle of water.  I took a sip of the water, grabbed an apple, and took a bite of that. Then, my phone started to ring again.  I looked at the caller ID again, and saw Steve's name.  I answered the phone.

"Hey babe, are you okay?" I asked.

"Honey, you need to get out of the apartment now" Steve said.

"Why? What's wrong?" I asked.

"SHIELD just attacked me, and my team attacked me. They're coming for you" Steve said.

"Baby, I'm scared" I said.

"I know honey, I'm scared too. I'm on my way to pick you up now.  Get out of the apartment" Steve said.

"Okay babe, I love you too" I said.

"I love you too. Meet me at the building across from the apartment complex" Steve said.

"I will, babe" I said.

Steve hung up the phone.  I placed my phone in my pocket.  Then, I heard someone at the front door, trying to break it down.  I opened up the window, climbed out, and closed the window behind me.  The door busted open, and a bunch of men came in, holding up their guns.

"Find her!" A voice shouted.

I climbed down the balcony stairs, without being seen, and made it down on to the ground safely.  I crossed the street, and hid quietly, while I waited for Steve.

"Jessy, Honey!" Steve called, quietly.

I climbed on to Steve's motorcycle, and we rode off.  I held on to Steve tightly, as we rode on his motorcycle.  Where were we going?  I wondered that.
