When you kissed her
You stained your lips
A bright beautiful rainbow
Now they all know
They know who you really are
What you really stand for
When you kissed that girl
You kissed the devil
You sold your soul to hell
You can't wash it off
It's who you are now
And you could never change that
I'm sorry
But you're screwed
Why?
I don't know
I don't know why you're like this
Why God created you this way
Knowing it would send you to hell
I don't know
And I'm sorry
I'm sorry you're gay

A/N: This poem is not me saying that you're going to hell if you're gay. This poem is more on the hypocrisy of religion. The idea that you are supposed to love everyone, and then people hating you for your sexuality, with that same religion as an excuse. This poem came about because I grew up listening to these types of things, and I'm pansexual, but I didn't know I was allowed to be attracted to my own gender as a kid, as my mother refused to tell me homosexuality was a thing until I was about 11, even though at the age of 7, we had moved into a house where my neighbors were gay. I've grown up listening to how my sexuality is a sin and I'm going to hell, and I eventually just blew off all the steam in a poem.
