I  looked at my floor behind me. It was covered in all of the clothes I'd tossed out of my wardrobe. I sighed, annoyed. I had nothing good to wear today - I wanted to impress Hoseok! Sure he'd seen me in school, but this was outside of school. I had to look good.

I rung up Maya, stressed. After a few rings, she picked up.

"'Ello?" I bit my lip.

"I need help." I could hear the curiosity in her voice.

"Wassup, babe?"

"I don't have anything to wear." I'd been able to push past what she'd sent viral around the school, and we were back to being good friends. I still made her feel bad about it though.

I grinned to myself as I thought. "For what?" I gaped.

"Hoseok's coming over? I've got like ten minutes!"

"Ohh! Sorry, I forgot." I scowled. I asked her how she could've forgotten something so important. She didn't respond. Ugh.

"But what do I do?!" She hesitated.

"I'm sure you have something." I shook my head.

"All of my trashy clothes are on the floor. I've been through them all."

"Oh." I rolled my eyes. "Ah. Yes. That is a problem. Uhm... What about that dress your mum got you a couple years ago? The white one?" I shook my head again.

"That's too fancy." She tapped her fingers against her phone. It was so loud I had to hold mine away from my ear until she stopped.

"The sexy black one you have!" I scoffed.

"I'm not trying to seduce him, Maya." She grunted, but didn't seem too bothered about my crisis.

"Oh oh!!" I listened. "Remember that Levi's top you bought last year? Wear that and your high waisted black jeans, and tuck it in a little. That'll look nice!" I bit my lip again, nodding slowly.

"Okay okay, thank you! Love you, bye!"

"Good luck babe!"

I hung up and rifled through my mound of clothes, trying to find the right clothes. With five minutes to go, I slid into my clothes and slipped on my leather bracelet. My chin length hair was already curly, courtesy of my mother's genes, and my skin was looking good. I slipped on some black ankle socks and waited on my bed for him to arrive.

I couldn't wait until I was doing this before a date with my boyfriend. If only I had one.

I distracted myself in my book, and at 4:11pm, Hobi came knocking on my door. I raced downstairs, and took a minute to compose myself before I opened the door. He beamed at me as I invited him in, and we went to the living room. I offered him a drink, and then went to get us both a glass of orange and mango juice. I'd already moved all the furniture to the edges of the room, so there was plenty of space for him to dance.

I put the glasses on the coffee table and stood by the TV as I played my melody on my phone. I would've sat down instead, but I wanted to make sure he didn't accidentally crash into my TV - my parents would kill me. He started dancing to it, a faint blush on his cheeks.

I stood in awe, unsure what to say. He was so good. The music soon ended, and he stopped, panting. I clapped excitedly, handing him his drink. He thanked me and drunk almost the entire thing. He must've been really thirsty.

"That was..." I didn't even know how to praise him, where to start. "Amazing." I breathed. He rubbed the back of his neck shyly and I chuckled. "It really was. I'm glad you could work with what I made." He smiled.

"It's good, not too difficult to dance to." I took a sip of my juice and put it down.

"I'm no expert in dance, but you are really good." I had to stop myself from fangirling too hard, so I just grinned happily instead. "I watched you dance last year too, in that competition, and oh my god you really did deserve first place aha." I started to get awkward as I realised I hadn't stopped talking, and abruptly stopped. He grinned at me. "Sorry.. I'm just a- a big fan." I flopped onto the couch and he sat down next to me.

"Not the first, aha." He fiddled with his hands a little, and I chuckled.

"I'm not a crazy fan! I mean I am, but of your dancing, not you. Not that I don't like you or anything, I just mean I-" I facepalmed, realising how stupid I was being. He laughed. "I mean I like you as a person because you're nice and all, but I am a fan of your dancing. I'm not one of the crazy people that stalk you and drool over you, y'know?" I clenched my jaw, feeling oh so very awkward. I sighed.

"Yeah, you don't seem like the type. But.." I stopped short of sighing with relief. But? There was a but? That was never a good sign. Shit.

"Oh god, what?" He wasn't sure how to word it.

"Well... You did kinda confess your.. love.. for Jungkook." I groaned. What have you done, Maya, I swear to god. I was quick to deny it, and told him I was very blatantly being sarcastic. He grinned and started teasing me about it, and I lightly punched him on his arm. We started laughing like three year olds, and soon I was on the floor in tears.

I could laugh for hours if I was given the chance - it was a little concerning. Once I cooled off, I slumped against the couch and apologised for my behaviour. He just grinned and stood in the middle of the room.

"Can you uhh, play the music again? I should probably practice aha." Oh!

"Actually, there's more. It's on my laptop upstairs though, so uhm I'll just go get it." I quickly left the room, but peered back in. "Wanna come?" He looked a bit skeptical, but I just shook it off and giggled. "I won't bite."

He jogged up after me, and I grabbed my laptop from under my bed. I hauled it up and quickly typed in my password, opening up Audacity. I looked at him - he was looking at my wall. I had a wooden board with photos of me and other people on there, from different occasions.

"You've got good friends, I take it." He mumbled quietly. I shrugged.

"Not really. Some of those are old, but most of them are with people I'm not that .. friendly with. Maya's friends, you see. She's my only proper friend I guess." I glanced at me, with something that looked like pity. I rolled my eyes. He pointed at a guy kissing Maya's cheek. I was next to her, grinning happily, and some of Maya and the guy's friends were around us.

"Who's he?"

"Daesuk, Maya's boyfriend." He nodded and perched on the end of my bed. "Here, take a listen." I clicked play, and watched his reaction as he listened to the new part. He smiled slightly and nodded along with it, praising my work once it'd finished. He said it was really good, and recorded it on his phone.

He was about to leave, but I asked him if he wanted food before he went. He nodded and ate with me before leaving, and I couldn't help but feel a little happier. Things were finally going right, for the first time this year.
