Heart as cold as ice.
Skin as strong as metal.
You may stay eternal.
Or die, once or twice.Heart inexistent.
Pain insistent.
The end soon arrives.
Death is all that thrives.Heart as cold as ice.
Skin as strong as metal.
"You may stay eternal,
or die once or twice,"She mumbled. She grimaced. That doesn't rhythm all that well. If only I had a paper to write this. She usually had a filled notebook with poems she used to write. It was funny for a Fire Nation fugitive to be a poet.
It was disappointing.
She'd been caught again. She woke up finding herself in a metallic room. It surely was a Fire Nation Navy ship. She'd spent a whole lot of time in these four familiar metallic walls.
The door of the prison cell finally opened and a man rushed in. She grinned at herself. It was more of a boy trying to look like a man. He had a ridiculous ponytail and the left side of his face was scarred, probably caused by fire.
He took out a wanted poster that had her face on it but not her name. She smirked. She hadn't said her name to anyone.
She started laughing ironically saying "I didn't know I was so famous around here,"
"Who are you?" The boy asked.
She didn't answer. She just stared at him in the same ironical way she knew it would drive him mad.
And indeed. His breathing got unsteady. His fists clenched. "What's your name?!" he demanded "What did you do and the Fire Nation's after you?!"
"So I'm not that famous," She said with a fake expression of disappointment on her face and her voice.
"Answer me!"
She continued staring at him at the same way. She wasn't going to give him what he wanted. Why? Because she can!
In a blink of an eye he wrapped her hand and pinned it at the level of her eyes on the wall. Her back crashed on the metal. His grip tightened around her wrist.
"There's a big bounty on your head. I could have just taken you right in and collected the gold," He snarled angrily.
"Then why didn't you do it?" She asked. Her hand snaked down at the belt of his outfit where she knew she'd find the keys.
After spending all that time in Fire Nation prisons, she knew how to spot the keys of her cell better than anything.
It wasn't surprising that he didn't answer. She chuckled "I guess we both know that you don't need any gold,"
"Prince Zuko, General Zhao wants to talk to you," The voice of an old man came from behind.
"Oh, my favorite General is here. Give him my best regards and tell him to fuck off, if you may," She said ironically as he pulled back and walked out of the cell shutting the door.
She smirked when she looked at the keys in her hand. He was too much of an idiot to notice her stealing them from his own belt. Or she was just too good at it.
She opened the door of her cell and she walked out after making sure there was no one in the hallway she'd walk in. She walked out on deck. It was night. Darkness fell everywhere around the harbor the ship rested in. The sea was quiet. But not too quiet.
She heard a small clicking sound and her gaze snapped immediately at the direction it came from. She looked at the beach where she spotted a bunch of pirates running hastily away. Then it was the smell. She recognized that smell. She slipped her gaze all around the deck only to find several barrels.
Her eyes widened in surprise. Blasting jelly...
She started running as fast as she could. She jumped from the deck with no hesitation and at the same time the entire ship was engulfed in flames. Fragments of the ship fell in the water as she swam deep in the sea, blocking her exit from the surface.
She moved her hands and her legs as much as she could. As much as the limited oxygen in her lungs would allow. She pulled herself up at the only part of the surface where the fire hadn't covered. She sucked in deep breaths slipping her gaze all around her surroundings.
The ship had been destroyed. The fire consumed it. Something caught her attention and her gaze focused on it. It was a body resting on a heated metal. She knew that it must have been him. The man who had captured her. It was foolish to save him. Yet, it was cruel to let him die. She sighed.
She swam towards him, wrapped his one arm and took him back on the beach. She laid him down on the smooth sand. His untangled hair fell on his face and his burned robe exposed the muscles of his chest.
He suddenly started coughing harshly. He had breathed in some smoke and his organism was automatically spitting it out. She sat beside him on the sand breathing heavily from her efforts.
"Prince Zuko' was it?" She asked "Well, that's one hell of a title," She woke up and squeezed the water of her black hair bringing them all at the right side. She started walking away.
Zuko turned around and watched her leaving, too weak to wake up and stop her. "You never told me your name,"
At that she stopped walking and when she gave her answer she left
"I'm nobody,"
