It felt like a part of the landscape she walked on just flew up purposely to make her fall. But she didn't. She jumped up for a few seconds and landed back smoothly on the soil.
She scanned the perimeter around her and she spotted a girl. She turned immediately around shooting a boulder towards the girl. The girl seemed like she'd been close to the age of eleven. She wore a green kimono and she had her pitch black hair picked back.
The girl punched the boulder breaking it to thousands of pieces.
"Not bad," The girl said smirking.
"Why did you attack?"
"Just playing it safe," The girl said shrugging. She picked her bag from the ground and she asked "So, you're an earth bender, but that smooth landing I've only felt it once before. Who are you, exactly?"
"Why does it matter?" She asked.
"If I'm not mistaken you can bend air and earth at the same time," The girl said.
"Nope, you're mistaken," She said.
"Could've fooled me but I'm pretty good at noticing when someone's lying," The girl said.
"Good for you,"
The young girl grinned a little and she crossed her arms. "You don't seem like you care about anything,"
"I think you're smarter than you look," She said as she turned around to walk away.
"I'm Toph by the way," The little girl said. "What's your name?"
She didn't talk, she just continued walking away.

There've been a couple of weeks since her arrival in Ba Sing Se. The Lower Ring was filled with refugees and thieves. The Middle Ring was somewhat better, and the Upper Ring was filled with rich idiots. She always hated everything about Ba Sing Se. She'd been in that City for a couple of times but it's never been surprising the fact that her house was at the Upper Ring.
Now you may ask: Why? What did she do to deserve a place in the Aristocrats of that Great City?
She worked as a double agent for the Order of the White Lotus. One of her many identities, was an Ambassador of the Earth Kingdom's Government. The Earth King was only a jewel. He never really had the full control of the City. Long Feng and she were the leaders of the Dai Li, hence they were the government of the City, with the Earth King's trust by their side.
She had just entered her house in the Upper Ring. Such a luxurious building filled with rooms. One of the shelves hid passports inside. All of them had a picture with a face. Her face. But each one of them gave a different identity.

Mother: Senja Kirishi
Studies: Political and Economical Science in Ba Sing Se University
She grinned. Some of it was true. She had indeed studied all this useless knowledge. But that was in a time when they were useful. Nobody cared about Political Science. People just wanted to rule over other people.
There were two scrolls on the table. She opened one of them. It was an invitation for a ball the Earth King threw for his Bear's Birthday and she had to attend. She sighed. It was to happen in a few hours.
