"I've brought you all here for a reason," Kyubey announced from the rock he stood atop. After Mami and Kyoko had found Kyubey, Kyubey had led them to Madoka, Sayaka and Homura. There, Kyubey had made an announcement.
"From tomorrow morning on, you will all be rivals, and you shall begin, the first ever, Hunger Games." A murmur rose from the girls assembled before Kyubey, looking shocked at his announcement. "We, incubators, have found that more energy is released and formed when you are fighting. This is part of the reason you fight witches and familiars. We have also realised, that magical girls are generally stronger than witches, and so by having you all fight each other, even more energy will be released and kept, for the universe's purpose. As a result, you have all been placed here, in the exact copy of the earth after Walpurgisnacht had been there, to fight to the death."
A deathly silence fell upon the four magical girls and Madoka. Each of them knew that they could not kill each other, whether they are friends or enemies. Kyubey surveyed them all and spoke.
"I see you are all reluctant to do that. I will never truly understand human emotions. If you were to choose between your life and another's, surely you would choose yours. So why bother be hesitant?" Sayaka stepped forward angrily.
"That's what makes us human, you cold hearted animal!" Kyubey inclined his head.
"I suppose that's why humans give out so much emotional energy, especially young girls like you. We really should be thanking you for contracting with us, since we are now, more than halfway in our quota for energy for the universe." Kyoko stiffened.
"You only wanted to use us and our energy? Why should we have anything else to do with you?!" Kyubey's eyes glowed faintly.
"When you contracted with us, you know that we took out your souls and turned them into soul gems. You don't think that was the only part of the contract did you? We gave you a wish, so we could, in turn, summon your soul gems and yourself as well, to where we want. So now you're here."
"Kyubey," Homura stepped forward. "You do know that at any moment now, I can change time back, and we would all be back where we were before you brought us."
Kyubey seemed to smile. His plumed tail slowly waved back and forth as he stood up, staring down at Homura.
"You do understand, Homura, that in order to turn back time, you have to have some connection to the past. Before, it was the land on which you were standing, which would always be connected by some way to where you started. Here, you are not connected, and so, even if you turn back time, if you are lucky, you might be able to get to where you started, once I summoned you all here." Mami spoke up.
"Kyubey, are you saying we are not on Earth." Kyubey shook his head, his pink-tinged ears swinging.
"As a matter of fact, you are in a completely different dimension. Surrounding this place, there is nothing, only empty space, and by empty, I mean there is truly, no air, gravity or anything else. You are all trapped."
Homura was silent, but her face deepened into a frown of worry and frustration, her indigo eyes darkening. Kyubey nodded.
"I take it that you will all be ready to fight tomorrow morning. I will let you rest now, and try not to kill each other please."
Hopping down, Kyubey ran behind a broken down wall and disappeared.
May the odds be ever in your favour.
So, what do you think of it? I'm sorry I made such short chapters, but I have to go through most people's views, and so I needed to make the chapters shorter. I'm sorry, I'll write extra chapters, I promise!
