All competitors, we have an announcement to make.

Kyubey's voice echoed through everyone's voice. It had an immediate effect.
Hearing his voice, Sayaka paused in the middle of her search for Homura.

Kyoko blinked her eyes open from sleep.

Homura and Madoka sat upright on the ground, under the tree, where they had been talking.
Oriko smiled, as she thought of plans to win this.

Two new magical girls have been brought into the arena. Oriko Mikuni and Kirika Kure.

As Kyubey said their names, the pictures of the two magical girls flashed onto their soul gems, and in the morning sky.

Homura frowned, deep in thought. She knew Oriko's intentions to kill Madoka, and if Kirika was there like Kyubey said, it made twice the trouble. She will protect Madoka Kaname though, at any cost.

Kyoko groaned. More magical girls to deal with, life just keeps getting harder. Trust Kyubey to mess it up.

Sayaka looked up, glancing around her quickly, making sure there were no surprise attacks. More magical girls were a bother.

Good luck everyone, may the odds be ever in your favour.

Kyubey's voice echoed the last words in their minds, before leaving.

Oriko stood up, brushing off her pale skirts, before striding forward, away from their piles of rubble.
"We should get going now, Kirika," She said, looking out to the distance, "We have the Hunger Games to win."

"It's okay, Madoka," Homura said to Madoka, "I will protect you."

"Sayaka?" Kyoko looked around, realising Sayaka was gone. "Sayaka, where are you?" There was no reply. Kyoko sat up straight.

"Oh yeah, I was meant to be on guard duty." She mumbled, staring at the dusty ground.
Sayaka must have gone after Homura, Kyoko realised, a fight would have woken her up, she was sure, and she would have found a body at least, or some trace, but there was none. Sayaka wouldn't have gone anywhere else, and she wouldn't have told her either, she knew Kyoko would just try to stop her.

"ARGGGHHHHHHHH!" A scream filled the air, and Kyoko looked up suddenly.

"Sayaka! I'm coming!" Without hesitation, she ran off towards the direction of the sound.

Sayaka screamed again. Her body was lacquered in cuts, her sword useless against the many blows Kirika dealt. Kirika landed in front of her, her one eye that wasn't under the eyepatch gleamed with glee.

"Keep going, no-one's going to come," She taunted, circling Sayaka,"No-one, not even-" Suddenly she lunged, one hand of claws reaching out to stab her stomach, directed towards her soul gem.

Sayaka flung her sword out, just deflecting Kirika's attack, but her sword was caught in between two of Kirika's claws.

Grinning, Kirika pulled back, yanking Sayaka's sword with her. Sayaka stood there, weaponless.

After the announcement, Sayaka had been ambushed very soon, by Kirika. There, the fight had begun, progressing further, Sayaka with no hope against Kirika's speed and power.

"That's it," Sayaka hissed angry and exhausted. Crouching lower, she wrapped her cloak around her, then, flinging her cloak aside, revealed a dozen swords, standing in the ground. Kirika smiled, a vulpine smile flickering over her lips.

"Interesting," She marvelled, circling Sayaka again,"But not good enough." Suddenly, she lunged again, both hands out, claws outstretched, ready to stab Sayaka in the soul gem. Sayaka grabbed two of the swords, and crossing them, deflected Kirika's attack just in time.

Sayaka gasped at Kirika's speed, how was she so fast?

Kirika giggled.

"Wondering at my speed?" She mocked, "It's called slowing your opponents down, by tangling them in magic." She laughed, and lunged again, only one hand of claws out. Sayaka blocked it, but Kirika's other set of claws suddenly lashed out, catching Sayaka in the hip, cutting her deep. Sayaka screamed again, in agony. She winced, clutching her side. Now she was completely vulnerable. Kirika smiled. Raising one claw, she prepared to being it down, upon Sayaka's darkening soul gem.

"Any last words?" She asked, smiling with glee, "Or d-"

"Stay away from her!" A blur of red and metal suddenly crashed into Kirika, sending her flying into a pile of stone. Slowly, Kirika picked herself up, seeing the angry Kyoko.

"Well, looks like blue calls red," Kirika smiled,"It's no problem though, I'll just have to pick you off like-"

Kyoko charged at Kirika, her spear pointed straight at her throat. Kirika let out a gleeful cackle, jumping aside with ease, unharmed.

Kyoko glared at her, before seeing Sayaka, swaying as she stood.

"Oh no," Kyoko gasped, distracted, "Sayaka, wake up!"

Sayaka barely registered her, spots of black dotted her vision, as she collapsed, her eyes glazing over, as she faded into unconsciousness.

"Looks like that's one down, another to go." Kirika smirked.

Frowning, Kyoko clasped her hands, and focused. A barrier made of red interlocking diamonds rushed out of the ground to protect Sayaka's motionless body.

Noticing the distraction, Kirika immediately lunged in, claws out, ready to swipe at Kyoko's soul gem.

Looking up, Kyoko dodged just in time, her spear disconnecting into multiple parts attached by a chain.

Seeing the vulnerable Kirika, Kyoko sent her spear of chains out to attack Kirika. Just as the attack struck, something exploded into her spear, knocking it aside and blinding Kyoko.

"Homura!" Kyoko gasped, stunned. Only a magical girl with bombs would do that. As the smoke cleared, Kyoko saw an unexpected sight. A white magical girl stood there, next to Kirika's injured body, her grave and dignified gaze staring at Kyoko, while ivy patterned spheres floated around her. Kyoko gritted her teeth - she had seen her before.

"Oriko Mikuni," Kyoko growled, "Why are you attacking us?" Oriko's face was emotionless, as she sent out a dozen of the ivy patterned spheres to explode at Kyoko's feet and Sayaka's motionless body.

Kyoko crashed into the ground, coughing in the smoke. Blinking her eyes open against the dust and grit, there was no-one in sight. Oriko and Kirika had gotten away.

"Dammit!" Kyoko hissed through her teeth.
