It had been 7 years since Sunset and Starlight got married. During all that time, Twilight and Garrett went on many adventures together. Their relationship was just as romantic. By then, Twilight had grown into a beautiful Alicorn.

Flurry Heart had grown into an adorable mare. She thought Garrett was like an uncle, calling him Uncle Garrett. Sunset got to meet Fizz, and found it in her heart to forgive her as Garrett did. Sunset and Starlight had two foals together, a colt named Ray and a filly named Maud, making Garrett a very proud uncle. Garrett knew he was truly in love with Twilight, and wanted to be with her for the rest of his life, and wanted to take the next step in his relationship with the Princess of Friendship. And with the help of his friends and family, he was able to arrange something.
One day, Garrett was at Twilight's castle waiting for her. Twilight then came in, smiling. Garrett sighed happily. Every time he looked at her, it was like he was falling in love with her all over again. "Ready for our date babe?" Garrett asked happily. "Only if you are my beloved," said Twilight. The two then walked out of the castle. What they didn't know was that they were being watched by Sunset and Twilight's friends.
They walked to a fancy restaurant, a table reserved for them. Twilight ordered her favorite meal, and Garrett ordered his favorite meal. Romantic music was being played. Two glasses of Applejack's apple cider was given to them.
"Hey Twilight, how long have we been together?" Garrett asked. Twilight thought for a moment and said, "For over 10 years. I have to say, those were a good 10 years." Garrett smiled and said, "Agreed. Twilight, how much do you love me?" Twilight didn't hesitate as she said, "I love you from the bottom of my heart. You mean so much to me..." He looked into her violet eyes and said, "I feel the same way about you." Twilight drank her cider, then when she finished, she saw a diamond ring with a necklace at the bottom of her glass. She used her magic to lift it, looking at it. "Wait, what is this?" Twilight asked. She knew this was a ring, and yet...
Garrett rose from his seat, and said, "Princess Twilight Sparkle, will you give me the honor of officially marrying you?" Twilight gasped. She was shedding tears of joy. "Garrett;" she said, "Yes! I will marry you!" Garrett then used his magic to take the necklace proposal ring, and put the necklace around her neck for her to wear. Sunset and Twilight's friends, including Shining Armor, Cadence, and Flurry Heart all squealed with happiness, happy to know that Garrett's proposal was a success. Twilight and Garrett laughed as they kissed.
