In the far-off island of Scyllia in a far-off land, a very prosperous village thrived. Two very special people greeted each other at exactly five o'clock each and every morning. The sky was dark and promised storms later in the morning; the field of grass was the deepest shade of emerald green. Clusters of bright, vibrant flowers were dotted at random places. However, the feature that stood out the most was the freshwater pond. The water was as clear as glass with not a ripple to be seen. Tiny silver fish raced each other playfully. Shy fish hid under the many smooth gray stones that littered the bottom of the pond.
Knelt before the pond was a girl. She wore silver robes made of the finest silk, a gift from the village people. Her eyes were sea foam green and held the sincerest feelings of serenity and peace. The girl's hair was auburn and cascaded in waves over her shoulders. Her crimson lips formed a warm, content smile. One look would tell a stranger that this was a girl that could be depended upon.
A man pompously strode across the field. He wore sunny golden robes and clutched a red rose tightly in his hand. The man had silver-blonde hair and mischievous blue eyes that sparkled. His skin was smooth and clear with not a blemish in sight. The man checked his always-perfect face in the pond reflection before greeting the girl.
Before the man could say a word, the girl spoke. She had a calm voice that flowed like honey over every word. "Hello there Felix. It's a beautiful morning to be out isn't it?"
Felix smiled flirtatiously. "Nova, when will you learn that every morning is beautiful?! I can't believe I have to keep reminding you!"
Nova tasted carrots in her mouth, for she was sad. Felix really liked her, yet she couldn't bring herself to admit that he was not the man for her. She fidgeted uncomfortably while trying to think of a suitable conversation starter.
Felix's personality resembled that of the Seven Deadly Sins. He would eat all kinds of food to make sure that everyone else would starve. He hoarded all of his riches in the treasure room of his house and kept it all to himself. The room itself was a big as a cathedral. Felix constantly dreamed of having all of the finest possessions and would go to any ends to acquire what he wanted. He walked everywhere with a sense that he was better than everyone else there and boasted about all of his accomplishments. Also, when he got angry, he would take it out on anyone around him harshly. Fire burned in Felix's eyes whenever he was angry. On days when he didn't want to rise from the comfort of his bed, Felix would force his work upon others and make them overwork themselves.
Worst of all, Felix had a terrible lust for the girl standing before him. He would go to any ends of the Earth to make sure that she fell into his hands. He thought she was the most beautiful person alive and wanted to drag her into bed with him. Felix thought that if he had children with her, Nova would never want to leave him.
Nova, on the other hand, resembled the Seven Virtues. She kept her distance from any and all alcohol to avoid hurting those around her. Also, Nova planned to wait until after marriage to have children. She gave whatever she could to charity. She didn't just give worn items either. Nova gifted the children with the finest clothes and the best toys. She was modest and gave the credit to whoever did the work. Nova always put others' needs before her own. She was very patient with everyone, and she was kind to everyone she came across and forgave easily.
Sheets of rain poured down from the heavens and soaked the island. Nova closed her eyes and extended her arms out from her sides. One of her powers allowed her to become one with and see into nature's mind. Felix cared very much if he was wet however. He silently cursed the rain.
Out of the misty haze, the silhouette of a man appeared. He was carrying an umbrella large enough to shield two people from the rain. When the man was close enough, Nova and Felix could clearly see all of his features. The man had jet black hair that hung down over his storm gray eyes that matched the sky. He wore a black suit jacket, black dress pants, polished black shoes, a crisp white shirt, a black tie, and a silver watch. He had a deep tan and a smile as white as snow.
