The cover image for today matches the story only a 'lil bit.
It's what I pictured myself if someone ever flirted with me.
No one requested anything, so this is what I thought was good.
Enjoy the chapter dudes!
Your POV
Our project was due in one week. We had two weeks to work on it, but I didn't have the courage to talk to Asriel about it. Well, I did, but... that was before the phone call. I didn't know Frisk and Asriel were living together. I thought that Asriel lived with his parents and Frisk with theirs. But it turns out, Frisk was an orphan before they went into the Underground. They were adopted by the Dreemurr family after they broke the Barrier. Frisk told me all this the day after the phone call. At least I understood their situation a little bit better...
It was the last period of the day. The hours turned to minutes, the minutes to seconds, as the clock struck 3 and the bell rung loudly. I already started getting out of my seat, but Asriel was only inches away from the door. There was no way I could get to him on time. But I couldn't let the idea of my crush leaving without talking to him go through my head. I ran into the hallway and slid to a stop, searching for him. I panicked, realizing he was halfway to the exit. An idea occurred to me; the only option was to break the rules. I shifted my gaze around, making sure no one was looking at me. Then, I ran as subtle as I can, trying to stay camouflaged in the crowd. He was at the entrance to the school, and suddenly a new burst of energy coursed through my veins. I ran at the speed of light, dodging people here and there. Teachers, luckily, didn't notice me running, but instead, were facing the direction, yelling at other students that were running. But then, I felt something slip under my feet. I tripped, yelping, as I toppled over somebody. Nobody else seemed to notice me though; the wave of students just rushed to the exit.
I was alone in the hallway again, or so I thought. A shadowy figure stood over me, holding out what I thought was a hand. I took it and stood on my feet. "Oh, golly, I'm sorry...." A familiar voice said and I realized who it was right away. It was Asriel. His hair was messed up and his sweater was dirty from the dust that so happened to be on the floor. Our eyes met and instantly he and I started blushing. How the heck did I happen to just meet him here? Is it fate? Destiny? My mind was spiraling and my mouth couldn't say anything. I opened it up and no words came out. It was as if my voice always goes away whenever I talk to him. He, also, seemed to have the same predicament. There was instantly an awkward silence between us for about 10 or so minutes. I broke the silence, my voice like a crack of thunder. "So, uh, sorry for tripping over you and uh... falling on y-you." I dusted off my clothes while he fixed his hair.
"It's o-okay, (Y/N)." He stuttered. Man was he cute whenever he stuttered. "So, was there something y-you h-had to s-say to me?"
"W-well, I was going to ask you about..." My mind went blank for a second. Oh gosh damnit, I thought since I forgot what I was about to say. I'm so stupid. I'm so very stupid..."I'm sorry, I forgot what I was going to say."
"It's okay, it happens to me all the time, especially in conversations with people." Asriel chuckled, still blushing.
"I'll just go now. Sorry f-for w-wasting y-your time A-Asriel." I sighed and picked up my book bag. But, in that moment, I felt something grip my shoulder. I turned around to see Asriel blushing as red as a tomato. "Let me guess, is this either about the phone call last week or the fact we're partners in the project?" Now that caught my attention.
