So, since probably most people, if not, some people might be confused at where Chara stands. Was she Asriel's lover before? First love? Well, all of those questions will be answered in a descriptive flashback because I'm still thinking of other ideas for chapters qwq. Forgive me for the writer's block I have... qwwwq

Third Person's POV

It was late at night, one of the most beautiful nights out there. Tonight, was the Blood Moon. This event, though beautiful, was never a good sign. Back in the past, people would believe that every Blood Moon night, someone turns up missing the next morning. It was on this one day that our story starts...

Chara was on her usual way up the mountain, strolling around to a secret place, her place in the world where she wouldn't get abused, or annoyed as a matter of a fact. All her life, she never experienced any type of love, even from her own parents. In her home, she'd always find her parents either drinking their problems away or them making-out on the couch. Just thinking of her family made her sigh with sadness. They were one of the key reasons she hated humanity. Instead of a kiss, she received a slap in the face; instead of a hug, she received a punch to the gut. She was a mistake in the world and nothing can change that. Once she got to her spot, she sat down and opened up her conveniently placed backpack, grabbing a folded-up tent and some sheets. She couldn't afford an actual sleeping bag after both her parents started to become alcoholics. Laying the sheets on the floor, she lied down and looked to the sky. The moon was the brightest she'd ever seen; a smile spread across her face as she closed her eyes and got comfortable within seconds. The forest was filled with snores as Chara drifted off into sleep.

A couple of hours later, she was woken up by a sound. Something like screaming filled her ears as she moved the blanket she had on aside. After a few seconds, it came again, ringing and sending the birds flying high in the sky. Chara sat up, standing on her feet as she grabbed her knife from her backpack. The screams got louder as she approached the top of Mt. Ebott, sneaking silently as leaves fell onto her head. Where is this screaming coming from, she asked herself as she finally reached the top? There was a cave opening filled with indoor, huge trees, the sound of water dripping from the branches echoing through the cave. Though the sound was soothing, it wasn't the reason why she came there in the first place. Venturing further into the cave, she stared at the dark abyss in front of her. The hole there echoed the scream that she'd heard. It sounded like it was injured, whatever it was. Chara got closer, peering into the abyss, careful not to slip. The scream came again and she peered again. Was it really worth it, to jump down there and help that person? This might have been just a part of your imagination, not real at all; all just your crazy mental issue. Maybe this isn't even worth it, she thought, turning around. After all, how would helping out a stranger help her life?

As she turned, her foot got stuck in one of the roots of the trees in the cave. Desperately, she tried to pull at it. But, like Newton's Third Law of Physics, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Her foot untangled itself as the root pushed her back, knocking her off balance. She backed away until she was at the edge, tilting backwards and falling off the edge. And there she went into the dark, deep, black abyss...

Am I going to die...?

Is this the last memory I would have...?

Would anyone notice that I'm missing...?

I guess this is my death...
