Third Person's POV

Everything was turned into a battle scene. The bench was disintegrated, along with all the other things that so happened to decorate the scene. The lights above from the crystalline star-like rocks diminished, leaving nothing, not a trace of light, just darkness. Asriel stood bravely, looking down at his ex-lover with fury burning in his eyes. The black markings on his face became even darker and stretched across his entire face. His horns magically grew as his entire face was shaped. His clothes, which were usually purple robes with a delta rune on it, now turned into shiny armor, somewhat like his dad's. A cape clung to his backside and around his neck, flying in the breeze. A chaos saber found its way into existence, finding it's way to Asriel's hand, glowing like a thousand shining stars. Everything was changed about him, leaving an entirely new outer shell. But somewhere inside him laid the scared little boy, determined to get his love back. "Chara, I don't want to hurt you." He said, his voice deep and concerned. Of course, a normal pacifist like him wouldn't want to hurt even a genocidal maniac like her.

"Of course you don't want to hurt me. I'm the opposite right there." Chara grinned, positioning her knife in the air. It glowed a very dull red, turning brighter as she held it higher. "Bye bye sweetie~" She said, laughing maniacally as she sent her knife into the ground, creating a very loud crash, sending shivers down Asriel's spine. The ground in return turned red, burning at the seems. In a flash, the whole place turned a deep red, disintegration into a pile of dust. Luckily, Asriel was flying as high as he could, sweating at how close to death he was. He looked down, shocked to see that in Chara's place stood the same knife they used, throbbing with an oozing red glow. Suddenly, a red slash came from behind, slicing straight through Asriel. Blood seeped through the wounds and dripped on the floor. Asriel coughed up blood, their energy slowly depleting. Checking himself, his soul was on the verge of cracking in two, his health no longer infinite. They had only 1 HP, not enough to suffice this form any longer. I don't want to die, I don't want to die, Asriel thought over and over again, floating to the ground and curling himself up while covering up his wounds. All that came onto his hands was blood. Why do I have blood, Asriel thought to himself, raising his head to look where the slash came from. "Ahuhuh~ you thought I was gonna play clean, didn't 'cha. Well, in this world, it's KILL or BE KILLED, and I'll do anything just to have that soul. Or, I can do anything to have yours." Chara giggled, floating down to where Asriel lay.

"Why do you want her soul so bad...?" He asked weakly, secretly looking for something to heal himself with. Though, there's no use in doing anything if you're going to die trying. Chara paused, looking at Asriel's weak state. She grinned, sitting down beside him and putting her arm around his. "Y'see Azzy, I want to live again. Wouldn't you have liked it if I were home at last? Wouldn't you have missed all that time we spent together?" She turned to him and looked genuinely concerned with Asriel's well-being. "If you had just let me have her soul in the first place, you wouldn't have been here, turning into dust like all the rest of the underground."

"I...I'm not responsible for the entire genocide y'know. It wasn't me who started it, but it has to be me who has to end it." Chara now had blood-red tears streaming down her face. "I just want to feel again. You yourself knows what it's like to feel emotionless, to feel so empty. WHY CAN'T YOU SEE I'M DOING THIS FOR YOU?!"

"YOU'RE NOT CHARA! THAT'S FREAKING WHY!" Asriel yelled, screaming at the top of his lungs. "My Chara won't act this way. My Chara wouldn't kill others just to get what they want. And yet here you are, killing an innocent person just for their soul. I just can't trust you anymore..."

"Oh, and you're saying that just because you don't want to bring up that useless piece of sh*t you were as Flowey. You f*cking tried to get a soul, just like I had. Don't say that I wouldn't kill others and yet you have." Chara, summoning her knife once more, had inched closer to me. "You're a hypocritical jerk, you know that? But even if you are, I kept you alive throughout all those timelines ago. From all the times I could of killed you outright, I just stood there, watching for your sake that you might get a soul yourself, save the entire monster kind for that matter. It all turned out great in the end, until that lil (Y/N) caused all this havoc. If only they had given me their soul...."
