THROWBACK TO THE FIRST TIME THEY SAID I LOVE YOU

It was a rainy day in my small town. Finn had come to see me, and we were just chilling in my bed room. I decided to blast some of my favorite songs and he began to mock my passion of lip syncing.
"Fuck you Wolfhard."
"Right now? Your Mom is right downstairs I don't think that's a good idea."
I gently pushed his shoulder and kept lip syncing to the song.
"You suck at lip syncing Hanna."
"Oh shut up, you lost to Caleb. Don't come at me like that."
"Ouch that hurts." He dramatically out his hand to his hair and pulled air through his teeth. I shoved his shoulder back. Karlie had been texting me every five minutes to fin ut what was happening. I swore she was more invested than i was. Finn was laughing and smiling at his phone and i got curious.
"What'cha looking at thats making you smile so much?"
He dryly said,"Edits of us together. People compiled videos of us during live streams and snapchat stories. A whole bunch of videos of us, and its just making me happy." I smiled and then went back to my lip syncing. He pulled me down next to him and started making me watch them with him. There was one of all the time hes kissed my cheek during videos with him talking about me from an interview over top. In the interview he talked about how he loved kissing my cheeks because they were squishy and they were my favorite spot to be kissed. It wasnt soon after the 30 second video ended that he kissed my cheek. And of course i responded.
"God I love you." And then I realized what I said. I sat straight up. He started coughing after he took a sharp inhale of breath.

"What did you say?"
I bit my lip, looked down at my lap and then glanced back up to him.
"I said I love you." He grabbed my face and gave me a passionate kiss. We pulled apart and he flashed me his beautiful smile.
"I love you." He said smiling bigger, somehow. I started smiling gigantically and I flopped back on my bed. And then my favorite love song, I Like You by Ben Rector began playing.
It was perfect.
