I sigh and look down, moving away so we can both find our phones. I'm too nervous to look and see if Bin's disappointed or not that our possible kiss was interrupted. I don't even know if he was leaning in too. God.

When I find my phone, I let Bin know it's mine. I see that it's Eunwoo and I just really wish he'd stop calling me suddenly. My hand moves to unlock my phone and I'm answering it. I jerk my head away as Eunwoo's yelling right as soon as I pick up.

"Emily! Emily! Oh my god— Minhyuk, stop him!" Hearing him yelling out those few words immediately sends my heart racing.

"Eunwoo? What's going on? Is everything okay?" I'm freaking out because something's obviously not wrong.

Fear creeps into my chest just as the fear creeps into his voice when he continues, "Emily, we need you. Now." I'm biting my lip and glancing at Bin often with a panicked expression. His face switches from a curious one to a concerned one. "It's Jinjin... Oh, Jesus— Fuck! Come to the diner, and quick!" Then he's hanging up just before I hear what sounded like Jinjin and Rocky yelling, plus some other voices too muffled to recognize.

I spin and look at Bin, "I need to go. I'm sorry about..." I'm trying to hint at the kiss we almost had, in case he wasn't okay with it, but he's shaking his head. He's also standing up. If this involves Jinjin, he can't come. So I'm moving towards him and pushing back against the bed. "No! I mean... Just stay and rest. I just... I need to go. I'm sorry."

He stares at me with a confused expression, mostly because I'm vehemently denying allowing him to come. His expression turns a little cold and he's moving to hold me. He keeps a good grip on me and I slowly hug him back. "Do you really have to go?" he's breathing near my ear.

"Yes. Something's wrong... I really need to go now," and then I'm letting go. He frowns, turning his back to me as I get my bag and phone.

I leave his house, run down the street to my house and my car, and hurry to the diner.

-----

Once I get to the diner, I can already see them outside. Jinjin's sitting on the curb with his head down and Eunwoo standing and running his nails along his lips out of nerves. Rocky's also there, sitting rather far away from the two and tenderly touching his face.

I park and run out of my car. Eunwoo spots me and meets me halfway, looking pretty upset. "I can't work first-aid, can you?" First-aid?

"What do you mean 'first-aid?' What happened?" I'm frantically looking past Eunwoo, mostly because he isn't hurt, but also because the first person to occupy my mind in my panic was Jinjin. He knows I'm looking at him because he's purposely looking the other direction.

The next thing I know I'm pushing past Eunwoo and going over to Jinjin. I stop just beside him but he still doesn't look at me. I'm biting my lip in aggravation and from a sharp, clenching pain in my chest. "Just go away..." he mutters it but I don't even think about listening to him.

I move to crouch in front of him and I grab his face carefully, turning him towards me. Jesus fucking Christ. I'm shocked when I see just how shit his face is. His nose might be broken and it's still bleeding a little bit, definitely running over his mouth and probably into it. One of his eyes is turning purple and beginning to really swell.

My eyes start stinging while I look at him. I'm biting my lip again and I shut my eyes, shoving him back. Next, I'm standing and running a hand through my hair, letting out a short and quiet sob. I can feel the three staring at me but none of them do anything. When I turn back to Jinjin, he's staring at me with a deep frown. "Emily... I'm sorry... I just—"
