Ch 20: Te Amo Por Siempre (Love You For Always)

"I hate homework." Cristina said dully as she tapped her pencil against the notebook.

"We all do, bud." Quin patted Cristina's back as he was sitting next to her, tutoring the boy in math.

"We must do it though. Now let's focus."

"Don't tell me what to do." Cristina pouted.

Blayke looked up from his textbook towards his sister.

"Hey, listen to Quin. He's trying to help you ace that test next week. If you don't pass that test, you're doomed with mom and dad."

"I'm leaving!" Quin's head rose at the sound of his girlfriend's sweet voice calling out to them as they were in the kitchen area, studying.

While Zoe came in with her purse over her shoulder, Anastasia's head sticking out, and she had leashes on the two large Great Dane dogs, who sat beside her.

"I'll be gone for a few hours." She said as she held her mom's SUV car keys that they took to school that day since Skyler was on a business trip for a few days.

Quin looked his girlfriend up and down. Short skirt, sandals, adorable shirt, and see-through sunglasses on with her hair down. Was he really that stupid to not go with her? Nope.

Suddenly Quin slid out of the chair next to Cristina. "Where are you heading, babygirl?" Quin asked.

Zoe looked up at him from texting on her pear-phone.

"The vets for the dogs' yearly check-up. You want to come with me?"

"Yes, ma'am." Quin grinned and then turned back to Cristina, who was glaring at him. "I'll be back later, kid."

"I'll just have Blayke help me with my math!" Cristina said as she went and sat next to Blayke, who groaned. "Get over it!"

"But that means more homework." Blayke sighed, but let it go. "Take care, you guys."

"We will." Zoe said as Quin grabbed his own sunglasses and wallet. He took the dogs' leashes from Zoe and they left.

He put the large dogs in the back of the car, while Zoe made herself comfortable in the driver's seat of the SUV.

Quin soon went into the passenger side and then Zoe pulled out of the driveway after seatbelts were on.

"So guess what Nyk did today."

Quin looked to her with interest. "What happened?"

"He apparently skipped out on boys' PE class, while we were changing in the girls' locker-room. He totally hid inside Madison's locker." Zoe giggled.

"When Madison opened her locker, Nyk fell out and Madison knocked him out. Everyone was calling him a peeping tom."

"Well, he is one." Quin sighed. "Nyk has always been an odd one."

"I can tell." Zoe laughed. "Wendy said that Nyk had dreads when she started school there…I mean, dreads? Nyk? Does that sound like that mixes?"

"Not one bit." Quin chuckled. "I can see you in dreads."

"Lies!" Zoe laughed harder. "No, no, I can see you in dreads!"

"I look good with ANY kind of hairstyle." Quin scoffed playfully and Zoe giggled.

"You're so conceited." Zoe told him. She looked over to the GPS, who said she still had a few blocks to go until she would be at the Vets.

"So Madison told me something crazy today…and I might be considering going."
