"Thank you so much for coming, Megan. I really appreciate it." Perrie said. I smiled back at her politely, not wanting to speak over the other three girls who were packed into the SUV. "I just can't wait to see all the dresses!"
We were on our way to a very high class dress shop in New York where countless famous brides before her brought their dresses. I wasn't much on elegant fashion but even I knew about this place. I also knew that a dress here cost almost as much as my childhood home.
"So Perrie what kind of dress do you want?" The girl named Jade asked in her small voice.
"I don't know. I was thinking vintage lace and form fitting. But then again, a princess gown would be beautiful as well."
The four of them sat and giggled in the front seat discussing more about the wedding while I sat in silence trying to drown them out. Today was going to be a long day.
---------ZAYN'S P.O.V.---------
I was going crazy.
My mind was racing and my heart matched it's speed as I thought about the fight Megan and I had today. I had said so much that I didn't mean out of anger and I knew she was hurt. But what was I suppose to do? She wasn't listening to me and there was no way she was going to go dress shopping with Perrie. It was just so.. Wrong.
Well, I had to admit everything in my life right now was "wrong." At any moment, I could slip up or Megan could and it would all be over. My career and reputation would be ruined. Not to mention my engagement. But honestly, my engagement was the last thing I wanted to think about right now.
"Mate, you're rushing in to this. Just wait it out for a bit just to make sure. This is a lifetime commitment Zayn. Remember that." Liam had told me when I had mentioned my plan. I ignored it of course. I was too busy trying to prove to myself that I could get along without Megan that I got carried away. A lifetime commitment? Good job Zayn. You're an idiot.
It made it even worse that I had nobody to talk to about it. Megan had Alex and now Lola and I had nobody. So, I was left to figure things out on my own which never really worked out in my favor.
It was now three in the afternoon and Megan still hadn't called me or texted me. She didn't answer her door either, so I went back over to Alex's room to see if she was still there. I was surprised when she answered, her hair going in multiple directions and bags under her eyes.
"Can I help you?" She asked.
"Uh, is Megan here?"
"No. Now can I go back to sleep?"
She didn't even give me type to speak before she tried closing the door. I pushed my hand against the wood, restricting her from closing it.
"Where is she?"
"She's dress shopping like she said she would be." She rolled her eyes in annoyance.
"What? She went?"
"Here's one thing about Megan that you need to know, Zayn." She sighed. "You tell her not to do something, and she will want to do it even more. Now, I'm going to get back to my nap. Bye."
She closed the door directly in my face, leaving me in the hallway boiling mad.
"Fuck!" I yelled, slamming my fist into the wall. Why was she so stubborn? What was she trying to prove?
"Uh, hey mate. You okay?" I slowly pulled my fist away from the wall and looked over to find a very curious Louis.
"I'm just great." I mumbled.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"Not really. I mean yes. I-I can't." I stuttered.
"Mate, you can tell me anything. You know that." He was right. Louis was always there for me. We had become so close and there were no secrets between the two of us. He would come to me with anything and everything and I to him. This time couldn't be any different.
"Mate, I'm in so much shit." I groaned. I pressed my back to the wall and slid down to the floor, my head falling into me hands.
"What happened, Zayn?" Tell me bro." He said, sitting down next to me.
"I made a mistake. I shouldn't have proposed to Perrie." I sighed.
"What? Why do you say that?"
"I'm sleeping with Megan. And I'm in love with her."
---------MEGAN'S P.O.V.---------
"Oh my god! This is it! This is the dress!" Perrie squealed.
Perrie stood in front of us in a beautiful lace gown that hugged her every curve. It looked perfect and it made me sick to my stomach but, I smiled and clapped along with the rest of the group.
"So Megan, did you have a good time?" The one named Jesy asked once Perrie went back to the dressing.
"Yes, I had a wonderful time." I tried my best to smile.
"Yeah. We were surprised that Perrie was inviting you honestly. But then again it would make an interesting story for the news I would imagine."
"Excuse me?"
"Did you really think she wanted you here after all that went on with those rumors?" Jesy chuckled. "Babe, let me tell you something. The only reason why you're here is so you're not left alone with Zayn. She's trying to keep an eye out on you. Not to mention the publicity that will be brought by this little shopping spree." I didn't speak nor could I. I had no idea how to react. Publicity? That's why I was here?
I suddenly didn't feel bad for Perrie anymore.
(Okay so I was having a rough night so sorry if you think this chapter was crap. Also, I don't know if I'll be able to update this weekend because I have family coming to visit but I'll update Sunday night. Vote and comment if enjoyed it. Thank you) -Jenny
