"Mommy! When is daddy going to be home?"
"Skylar, honey, just be patient. He will be home any moment now." I sighed, crouching down to pick her up. And as if on cue, I heard the knob on the door turn and open.
"Daddy!" She squealed, kicking her feet so I would know to put her down.
"Hello sunshine." Zayn said, scooping her up into his arms and giving her a peck on the forehead.
"Daddy, I painted you a picture today."
"Really? Well, why don't you go get it so we can see this masterpiece?" He smiled then placed her on her feet so she could run into the kitchen to grab her drawing. "Hello, my love."
"Hi. How did the recording session go today?" I asked, giving him a kiss.
"Lovely. All the boys say hello."
"And hello to them." I giggled. "Happy anniversary, by the way."
"Happy anniversary." He smiled, then kissed me deeply on the lips.
"Yuck!" Skylar squealed, making both of us pull away and laugh.
"Yuck is right, sunshine. Now, show daddy what your picture looks like." Skylar walked up to us and showed him the picture. It was mostly scribbles but it was still adorable.
"And who are these people?" He asked her, pointing to the little stick people on the page.
"That's you daddy! You're singing to me, mommy, and the little person in her belly. See? Mommy has a big belly here." She said, pointing to my character on the page.
"Little person in her belly?" He asked, looking up at me curiously. I smiled and nodded ecstatically. "Oh my god!" He exclaimed, grabbing me in a tight hug. "Skylar, you're going to be a big sister!"
"I know daddy. Stop kissing mommy! It's yucky."
"How long have you known?" He asked me.
"About a month. I wanted to wait until today to tell you though." I smiled.
"Best gift I could ever ask for. Besides you as my wife, anyways." He kissed me on the cheek. "I love you."
"And I love you. Till death do us part."
"Well, you kind of have to. You promised the minister." He laughed.
