"I'm so glad that's over." I said, totally relieved. I was back at the hotel lounging in front of the television with Zayn by my side, his arm around my shoulders.

"Yeah. Me too." He mumbled, his tone catching me off guard. I turned my head to look at him and I found him staring almost vacantly at the screen, not even focusing on the movie.

"Hey. Are you okay?"

"What? Yeah, I'm fine." His answer was less than convincing.

Once we had gotten back from the interview, Niall went out with Harry to go shop for some new stage clothes. He would be gone for some time since shopping wasn't exactly the easiest thing for him to do. Between meeting fans and mobs, he would be gone four hours easily. I took full advantage of my few hours of freedom and invited Zayn to my room to watch a movie.

He hasn't necessarily been in the best of moods.

"I can hardly believe that. Ever since we got done with that interview you have been nothing but grumpy to say the least."

"Grumpy?" He chuckled, cracking a tiny smile.

"Yes. Grumpy." I couldn't help but smile back at him as I answered. His smile was contagious.

"I'm just tired, babe. That's all." He assured me. I sighed, giving up knowing I would get nowhere with him.

I thought back to today and all the questions that were asked. They were obviously extremely annoying and manipulating but none of them really stood out to me. If anything, they were slightly less harsh that I had imagined. Of course I knew that the Perrie questions always got to him but it never really stuck with him for very long. Then again, maybe this time and situation was different.

"Zayn, if you're upset about the questions that Jason asked today I-"

"No, no it's okay. I completely understand." He cut me off, leaving me confused.

"You understand what?"

"I understand why you wouldn't want to date me. Now that I think about it, I wouldn't want to either." He babbled. I sat there quietly trying to put together what the actual fuck he was saying. Why the hell would he be say anything like that? Or even think that?

And then I remembered.

"Zayn, I didn't mean it like that. That's not why I said no." I explained.

"No, I'm just overreacting I guess. You had to say no. If you would have said yes that would have messed the whole thing up."

"Okay. I'm glad you understand". I said. Thankful that this conversation was over.

"I just wish you wouldn't have sounded so sure about it." He mumbled under his breath, almost too low for me to hear.

"Oh my god, Zayn." I groaned.

"What? Do you blame me?" He barked, standing up from the couch. " If the roles were switched you know you would be pouting about just like me right now." He was right of course. I would be just as pissed.

"You're right. I'm sorry. You deserve an explanation I guess." I apologized. "Well, you see, what brought us together was you wanting to sleep with me since Perrie wasn't here to do it, right?" I waited for him to answer which he did with a slight nod of his head. "Exactly. So the question was, if we were both single would be have dated? Most likely no. Because you wouldn't have had any use of me or desire to see me in any way. Lust brought us together. Not feelings like a relationship does."

Zayn stood there quiet for a while, wrapping his head around ever little word I had just said. He brought his hand up to his perfectly sculpted hair and mussed it up in frustration. He huffed out a breath and looked at me with the most intense look in his eye.

"You see, that's where you're wrong. Lust or not, you would have still drawn me to you. The moment I saw you I knew I couldn't not have you in some way. You we're way too beautiful too ignore. There is no doubt in my mind that you and I we're meant to be together. Fate was going to bring us together. Single or not."

Before Zayn, I didn't believe in love for fate. I had seen such a fucked up representation of love growing up that I had no ounce of hope of finding it. That was, until I met Zayn. Love is the most devastatingly beautiful feeling you will ever experience in my opinion. Love gives somebody the power to break you but, if treated carefully, can be the most life changing thing anybody could ever experience. And, fate or not, I'm glad I had fallen in love with Zayn.

"I love you." I said, making Zayn's troubled look form into a smile. He reached his hands out to grab mine and pulled me off of the couch and into a hug followed by a long lingering kiss. And, even though he refused to admit it, I knew he loved me back.

"Megan, I hope you don't mind me coming in here but- oh my god." A voice rang out from the doorway which had somehow been opened, revealing a very shocked Lola.

"Lola, oh my god! How the hell did you get in here?" I yelled, just as shocked as she was.

"I've been knocking on the door for the past five minuets and when you didn't answer I asked the maid for a spare key and, oh my god."

I had no idea what to say, so I said nothing.

"It's true. The rumors are true. You guys are dating. And, my god, you're both cheating." She said, with a tone filled with so much discussed it sounded like she was about to vomit.
