Chapter 40:

Liam's pov:

I woke up and heard a faint conversation outside on the back porch. I walk over to it and I see Jessica reading a book aloud, her legs in Harry's lap, and Niall sitting in a chair facing Jessica. I listened to some words before opening the sliding glass door and walking out onto the porch. Jessica stopped reading and her cheeks turned a light red. Harry and Niall both looked up at me.

"How uh, how long have you been listening?" Jessica asks.

"About 2 minutes," I answer. She nods her head and looks back at the book.

"Would you uh, want to listen as well?" she asks lightly.

"Nah, I should probably just go inside and start making some lunch ideas," I say. Niall then jumpes up out of his shouting, "NANDOS! LET'S GO TO NANDOS!"

"When the others wake up we can all get ready and go to Nandos," I say. He smiles widely and follows me inside.

"Niall, how did you stand being there with those two? Are you getting over her?" I ask.

"I am far from over her. I just looked at her as she read and I only listened to her voice saying these words from a book. I didn't even notice Harry for almost the whole time," he says, lookign down at his feet.

"I'm proud of you," I tell him. I look at the clock and see that it reads 11:49am.

"Niall, wanna help me wake up the others so we can get ready to go to Nandos?" I ask. He nods his head and we walk towards the living room. We pass the sliding glass door, but Niall stops, staring outside of it at Jessica and Harry. I watch as he turns back around and flies up the stairs. His door slams shut.

That was the last I heard of Niall until it was to go.

Niall's pov:

I stop at the sliding glass door, staring at Jessica and Harry.

Harry had one of his hands cupping her cheek and the other around her waist. Jessica's hands were on his shoulders. Harry's body was slightly over hers on the porch swing. I couldn't help it. My blood was boiling under the skin. I ran upstairs to my room and slammed the door shut. I immediatelky grabbed my guitar and started a tune as I wrote down lyrics in the notebook on my bedside table.

Liam's pov: (again)

I quickly ran to the living room and shoke Ellie, hoping she knew what to do. She slowly opened her eyes, but they shot open when she saw the worry on my face.

"What's wrong?" she quickly asked.

"Niall he uh, Harry and Jessica were kissing, he saw, he uh, he's in his room," I stutter out. I didn't really know how to explain the situation. I'm guessing that she knew though because she was always comforting him.

"Okay, I'll go up there and talk to him," she says smiling. I help her up and she immedaitely runs up the stairs. I hear her pounding on his door, pleading for him to let her in. I walk to the end of the stair case, listening closely.

"Niall, please let me in. I know we're fake but I want to be friends still, please," I was a bit taken back, but she continued. "Please Niall, let me in. I'm the only one who knows everything," she says just barely above a whisper. I hear the door open and quietly shut again.

I don't know what's going on between the two of them, but I don't think it's going to end too well.

Jessica's pov:

Harry slowly pulls himself off of me, still cupping my cheek. I smile weakly at him and he smiles back.
