Weeks and months passed since the two have been living together and shared their first kiss. Their relationship blossomed day by day. As per usual, Tony was in the basement lab working on one of his cars and was singing to one of his favorite song. Since he was under his car and unable to move much, he activated one of the suits to dance in his place. Doctor Banner on the other hand was reading in the library as he usually spends his time in. Having a habit of jotting down good quotes, he usually has a notebook with him. He thought for a while longer, but then tapped his chest. ''Ah...my book..''
He looked at the doorway. ''Nngh...''He put the book aside, placing a piece of string in between the pages to mark where he stopped before he headed down to the lab where he last took out the notebook. Upon reaching the lab, he peaked his head in, trying to keep his existence as minimal as possible only to be ruined by Jarvis. "Greetings Doctor Banner." Tony heard the robotic voice and rolled out from under the car. "Hey Doc." He smiled and sat up.
The Doctor jolted slightly at the voice and pulled his head back out to the hallway but was too late. "My apologies doctor. Was I not supposed to announce your arrival?" The robot said with a hint of cheekiness. A cuss went off in his mind with a slight roll of the eyes. Tony lowered the volume of the radio. "Something wrong?" The mechanic asks.
The Doctor sighed and slowly walked into the room. ''A-actually, I forgot my book...'' He said softly as he went over to the table and picked it up. "Since you're here, mind helping me with some things?" Tony asks as he wipes the black stains off his face. Bruce looks over at the other and was slightly distracted from the other's bicep for a second, "Ah yes?" and went up to the other.
"I need you to test out one of my suit's strength. If you know what I mean..." Tony arched a brow. The Doctor frowned, still not getting the point. "What I meant was, we both 'suit up' and 'fight'...not really 'fight-fight' more of you throwing me a few punches and such." He further explained. The doctor's frown remained. ''Tony, now you know very well that I couldn't do something like that.'' He crossed his arms, a little unimpressed.
"Oh come on, just a little while? We can do it at the arena on the third level. I really want to try out my new suit. I think its a break through... please?" Tony looked at Bruce with pleading eyes. ''But...'' The look didn't leave his face. ''Tony, I can't. I've never done anything like that and well...you know...the other...'' His sentence trailed off. The mechanic understood and decided not to ask further and shook his head. "I won't force you. Guess I hoped wrong then..." He went back to tapping the screen around and work on his suit.
The Doctor sighed and rub the back of his neck. "I-It's just...If I hurt you...I wouldn't know what I would do with myself..." He paused in his thoughts, "But..." He sighed softly once again. "I guess I can't say no to you."
"Really? You'll do it?" The billionaire's face lit up like a kid on Christmas. "I'll go get my suit." After said that, he went off to wash up and got ready for the lab test in the private arena. The Doctor gave a soft smile and went to get ready as well, however he does it.
