Pokemon That Should Not Have Megas (Ash-GreninjaGirl)

Mega evolution is a pretty awesome concept and one that I'm glad GameFreak decided to add to the Pokemon franchise. However, there are some Pokemon they chose that...just don't need, or deserve, mega forms. So without further ado, here's a list of Pokemon that I think should not have mega forms. Remember, this list is just my own opinion, so if anything offends you...I don't care. 

4. Charizard 

Now, I'm not saying Charizard doesn't deserve a mega form at all. I just don't think it needs two of them. I mean, what was the point of making Charizard X except to appease the angry fans who thought that normal Charizard should have been a dragon-type? Mega Charizard Y is way cooler, and is far too underappreciated. 

Seriously, does anyone else just get the feeling that GameFreak purposely tried to make Mega Charizard Y look weak in order to promote Mega Charizard X? They made it look absolutely pathetic in Trevor's battle against Alain in the Kalos league. And not only that, but why was that literally the ONLY time we ever got to see Mega Charizard Y? Come on, give the poor guy some recognition. 

3. Audino 

While I'm not a fan of giving mega evolutions to Pokemon that are already too powerful to even need them, I'm also not a huge fan of giving them to Pokemon that are so weak there's no way mega evolution would ever make it any better. Audino is a perfect example of this. No one is ever going to use this pile of crap because it's horrible. I mean...I'm sorry, but it's true. It has a horrendous level up moveset, with almost all of them being normal-type moves and most being non-damaging. And even in its mega form, it still isn't a very good Pokemon. Sure, it gets a huge defense and special defense boost, but it's still just as bad an attacker as it was in its normal form. I mean, Mega Audino is in the NU tier, which stands for NeverUsed. Think about that for a minute. A mega evolved Pokemon is in the NU tier. Talk about a wasted mega. Even Mega Beedrill managed to sneak into the UU tier. 

2. Rayquaza 

Now we come to the opposite end of the spectrum; in other words, Pokemon that are too powerful for mega forms. Don't get me wrong, I love Mega Rayquaza's design and think it's one of the best GameFreak has ever created. But it just doesn't need that mega. I mean, its stats in its normal form are already on par with or above that of almost all mega Pokemon. Give that mega to someone who can actually benefit from it, like, say, Flygon. 

Come on. Flygon needs a mega. 

1. Mewtwo 

Ah, am I going to get a lot of pissed off comments for this one. Before you throw stones at me, let me just explain my reasoning. Mewtwo falls into the same problem as Rayquaza, which is that it's just too powerful for a mega. Not only that though, canonically it doesn't even make sense for Mewtwo to be able to mega evolve. For evidence, let me point you to a quote said by Professor Sycamore in the Pokemon X and Y games. 

"Congratulations! I see that you have finally obtained everything you need for Mega Evolution! A Mega Stone for the Pokemon, a Mega Ring for the Trainer, and a strong bond with your Pokemon." 

Now, considering the "strong bond between trainer and Pokemon" is canon in both the games and the anime, how is it that Mewtwo can mega evolve? Considering I don't think it has a very flattering opinion of humans in general, I find it hard to picture any sort of bond ever forming between Mewtwo and a trainer. This is more in reference to games/origins Mewtwo, but while the movie Mewtwo might be a little more accepting of humans, I still don't see it ever allowing itself to be captured by a trainer, much less developing a bond strong enough to mega evolve.
