With Gen 8 most likely going to be released sometime near the end of 2018 or early 2019, a lot of Pokemon fans are probably wondering what new features are going to be added. I myself have been thinking of new potential features that could improve the games. Without further ado, here's a list of things that I think the Pokemon company might add to the Gen 8 games.
1. Triple type Pokemon
Dual-type Pokemon have been around for years, so why not a triple-type? It might be a little confusing when it comes to type advantages, but it isn't that hard to work it out. Here's an example I created, just to show you.
Ex: X is fire, ground, and water-type.
Effectiveness of water: 2 x 2 x 1/2 = 2 x 1 = 2
Water is super effective against this Pokemon.
2. More dual-type moves
We saw the first addition of a dual-type move with Hawlucha's signature move, Flying Press. Why not add more? If there are dual-type Pokemon, there should be more than one dual-type move.
3. The ability to let your Pokemon walk around with you
I was always jealous of Hau because he was allowed to have his starter out of its Pokeball. Why can't I have my Primarina or my Greninja walking around with me? It would be a great way to increase friendship as well, which would work well when evolving Riolu, Pichu, Buneary, or any Pokemon that evolves with happiness.
