The origin of the Vril myth created by Edward Bulwer-Lytton in his novel The Coming Race was partly true. He got the idea from reptilian in nature, a dream and a patient from an insane asylum claiming about a ridiculous claim about reptiles and claiming to be Jack the Ripper's father. This is a fictionalized version of Edward and the idea/origin of the Vril myth.
